Like another reviewer, I thought the medium-hot version was Mapo Tofu sauce was "hot" in name only, so I decided that I was ready to try the next step.I noticed immediately that the pricing was bizarre. A single package cost $12.95, while a box of 10 cost $43.70, or $4,37 per package. Well, I wasn't about to buy ten of something I'd never tried, so I went with the single package, despite its expense.It was a disappointment. To my experienced taste buds (I've eaten mapo tofu in Sichuan and in numerous Sichaun restaurants in the States), this version didn't taste any spicier than medium-hot.Oh, well, now I know. Glad I didn't waste money on the box of ten.
