Great Product
This is a high quality product and is well worth paying a little extra for it.

Well constructed
The Johnson 1560 is a well constructed pocket door system for a 2x6 wall. When compared to the what you can purchase at the big box stores, you get what you pay for. This thing is solid when built correctly. If you are installing this in an existing wall expect this to to take 3-4 days for demolition/framing/refinishing. The walls in my 25 year old house were warped and out of square, which required rebuilding in order to properly house a pocket door. *Word of advice - Mark and Predrill your trim so that your screws don't split the wood or slip the steel studs. The Good: - Well constructed - Install not overly complicated The Bad: - Instructions are poor (Johnson website videos and YouTube are your friends) - Johnson does not make a jamb kit for a 2x6 wall so you are left to fashion one yourself

Missing items
The brackets were missing to hold the door had to make adjustments disappointed.

Fast and simple.
The instructions could be improved, Like making it REALLY clear on page one which tells you to put the thing up with temp nails, which side is opening and which is wall. On page 2 which gets to the studs, you figure it out. I have installed 5 of these. If you're like me and trust screws over nails, then pick up (7) #10 x ¾" screws. Yes, there are 4 on one end and three on the other. Suggestion: To insulate the door sonically: Mount 1" or 2" 6lb/cu ft fiberglass sheets with spray adhesive before installing the second drywall sheet. Pros: Fast & simple to install Cons: • Seems a little pricey • There are no metal guides that I found. I ramset the stud plates into concrete. Can't do that with the plastic guides, they'll bust apart (concrete finish floor). Guess I'll glue them or make my own.
