Best I bought so far
I love this brand. Too bad I could not find It on Amazon Canada anymore. I had to order from the states which sucks but their licorice root has a very full taste compared to other brands I tried, so I'd rather pay more ( yes they are more expensive brand)

Fabulous licorice for tea!
The last brand I bought was thick sticks and I needed twice as much and had to boil twice as long to get the flavor out of it. This is fine shreds but not so powdery that my fine mesh strainer doesn’t catch it. Perfect! And tastes fresh.

Wonderful flavor, real stuff!
Love that this great product is the real deal. I e learned the hard way not to trust “natural flavors”, even if highly rated. Some teas are incredibly stinky from fake, added chemicals… not this one! Love it, I trust the brand and will order again! Please keep up the great quality!

Seems okay but went from "cut and sifted" to sawdust
I've ordered this a few times before... In the past, the pieces in the bag were on par with a looseleaf tea, and it was easy to tell what it was. In the bag I just got, it is fine and dusty. Making a tea is more difficult without dealing with the tiny pieces.

Fresh, delicious!
What I don’t like is that it is shredded, which means I must use my tea ball. What I like is the flavor. This stuff is fresh. I fill my tea ball, about 4 grams’ worth. I then pour boiled water over it, to just cover the ball, and I let it cool. I then either top up with boiling water to drink it hot, or I pour it over ice, to drink it chilled. I use no sweetener, because it is sweet. Be cautious! Licorice, real licorice, not candy, can cause more problems than it fixes. I’m no professional, but it helps clear my stuffy nose. It also tanks my potassium levels, when I overindulge. And I love licorice! This licorice is really good. I am more used to the powdered licorice, which I just drink, ignoring the texture, but I don’t throw away my brewed licorice. I save it and put it in my psyllium husk biscuits. It gives them a nice, lightly sweet flavor.

Great for my own blend of tea
I make my own tea from a blend of licorice root, fennel, peppermint, spearmint and holy basil. I was having trouble getting licorice root in my local health food store so I purchased this for a year's worth of tea. Very good flavor and much less expensive buying in this quantity than getting it from the bulk herb counter of the local store. Recommended.
