The Purple CowMagic Word Game with Magnetic Board. For kids and adults. Great for learning new words from dictionary.

I love that this is small enough to fit in my purse. It works perfectly distracting and teaching my 5 year old while out and about. I usually also have a coloring pack, but for longer waits this is perfect for teaching on the go! Granted, she is still learning words, but this makes it fun! I rotate through the other ones I have, so it isn't always the same.Absolutely great screen alternative!

Fun for road trips, letters are pretty small. Kids really loved this on the 14 hour road trip.

Cute but way overpriced for what you get.

If you like Scabble or Words with Friends, this is a great edition for the car. The Magnetic letters hold tight to the game board/container.We are currently using the letters as an alternative way to practice sight words.

This magnetic game is similar to Scrabble. It comes with 100 letter tiles and there are 100 spaces on the board.I find it interesting that the rules say that the game ends when all of the letter are used. I think it would be impossible to use all of the letter tiles on the board, considering there are the same number of letter tiles and game spaces. The rules state that you can alternatively play until one player reaches a certain pre-determined target score, such as 100 points.The magnetic board isn't very large. There is a "pool" area for the unused tiles, but there isn't a lot of space. I think we will keep the tiles in a little bag to pick from instead.All in all, I think this will be a fun way for my 6 year old to learn how to spell and create words. We are traveling soon and I hope this will keep her entertained for a while, instead of having the iPad on 24/7!
