I’ve suffered with Severe Anxiety and Panic Attacks for over 15 years. As a result I have been taking Diazapam 10mg a day for the same amount of time but I have now reached a stage in my life where I want to come off of the Diazapam which is hard work due to the withdrawal side effects. Kalms Day Valerian tablets have worked wonders in helping me reduce my Diazapam intake. I take 2 tablets 2-3 times a day alongside Lavender 80mg once a day and Chamomile 300mg twice a day. I also add 5-HTC at night 1 hour before bed and I sleep through the night to wake up with no uneccesary nervous feelings like I used to have. Please note that although I’ve mentioned all of the other supplements that I take alongside the Valerian tablets by Kalms I am not endorsing that others should do the same. I have slowly introduced all of these herbal supplements to my body and have found what works for me. Kalms Valerian were the first that I tried hence the review after several weeks of taking them. If you suffer from Panic, Anxiety or just high Stress levels then these alone will help. If they give you an upset stomach then simply take them with food and only take 1 tablet a day until you body gets used to them. Don’t let any negative reviews about these put you off trying them. They really are a god send.

I know for a long time that Valerian Root it good to calm you down, but sometimes it upsets my stomach. I used to take valerian pills but made me sick after taking them .I've read that these are coated, so are more gentle with your gut, which they are. I have no issue taking this on an empty stomach, or after eating. Just be patient at the beginning(no medication is a miracle worker), but eventually you will notice the difference. I take 2 at once, twice a day, and is enough for me. I used to tremble because of the stress, have headaches, my heart used to feel like is jumping from my chest. Not anymore. It calms me down, but without making me a vegetable. Is non drowsy, and helps me concentrate more actually. I do recommend these!

I’ve used these off and on for years and think they do a great job. I tend to get very tight muscles in my neck and shoulder which can lead to ear ache etc and I don’t like using pain killers. A couple of these twice a day does wonders for relaxing the muscles … as does staying off my IPad for a day! They also help me sleep if I’ve had a hectic day. I’ve never taken more than 4 a day but it says max is 8. They don’t make me drowsy either so no problem driving . I find for occasional use they are great.

Don’t get me wrong, these definitely do work and I don’t believe they are a placebo effect. However, I wouldn’t say these are for usage of long-term, I would definitely recommend different herbal alternatives that you can use longer term. It’s hard to say any implications regarding using long-term as not. A lot of research has been done on them but I do believe myself that it is very healthy too. Have other alternatives of dealing with stress and anxiety and not to rely on these. I also try to meditate when possible and I have started taking vitamin B6 as this is vitamin is what is in control of your nervous system, so far so good taking them! so it is worth considering that your vitamin b6 levels could be love when feeling extra touchy or stressed. That being said, they are great for things like taking when driving during lessons or during a driving test when stress levels are extremely heightened, this is when I feel like they have become most useful for myself.

I've used these before but they can be a bit pricey if you buy the boxes with the blister packs in. For 200 tablets these are really good value for money. They're not as large as a standard paracetamol tablet and are smooth coated so they're easy to swallow. Don't know what they'd taste like if I let one melt but you're not meant to so it doesn't matter!
