Best-1 32oz. Hummingbird Feeder

Q: Many reviews say this feeder is easy to clean. How do you clean it? Is it dishwasher safe?

The plastic base comes apart so that you may clean the base and glass bottle with hot soapy water and a bottle brush. A pipe cleaner or port brush will clean the feeding ports. Rinse thoroughly. Like many Hummingbird feeders, this should not go into the dishwasher.

Q: The only color choice is beige now but picture shows red. What's true? And if so, what part is beige?

I don't know. Mine were red-the base that is. Most feeders are red. Have not seen a beige one.

Q: Does this feeder keep bees away?

This feeder does NOT keep bees away. I ordered it bc I read it had the highest reviews when searching for feeders that keep bees away. It attacts more bees than my other 3 feeders. I would not recommend it if you're buying to keep bees away.

Q: have many feeders ? My wire came off one and can not get them hanging straight...adjusted both & seem to feel up with rain...should I return?

Of the couple dozen of these feeders we bought over the last 15+ years, we had the wire come off three of them, all purchased about the same time. May have been a manufacturing error. Anyhow, we fixed those three, and did preventive work on all the rest, by smearing a dollop of silicone aquarium cement around the ring. No more problems. We feed between 500 and 1000 birds per day, depending on the season, and we have used these feeders in preference to all others for more than fifteen years.
