I’m honestly not completely sure what you’re referring to, but the sleeve fits pretty tightly around bat. So if you have a little wiggle room in the slots it will probably work.

Q: If I attached a strap, could I sling a bat over my shoulder using this bag?

Yes I suppose you could. Depending on how you attached a strap I guess. If you want to sling it over your shoulder, maybe consider purchasing a hockey stick bag that is made to sling over your shoulder, the bat might fit in it depending on the bag dimensions. I considered that myself.

Q: does the zipper come in contact with the bat, is the bat protected from the zipper?

Yes it can contact bat but it is well padded along the seams - I have had no issues. Definitely glad that I purchased it.

Q: Will this fit a 2 3/4 barrel?

It fits a standard softball bat of 2 1/4 inch barrel and it's snug. It may be a touch too small for a 2 3/4 inch barrel.
