I got this as a Gift for my Amazing Mom! Who was venturing off to explore the art of ceramics on a deeper level. She was Overwhelmed by the gift and the quality of the tools she received! I was unaware that she had bought herself some tools and she stated that they were Immediately going back as these were FAR Superior than the tools she had purchased for herself!! She was Excited and Elated to be entering a class with Amazing tools!! Can't recommend them enough to others looking to get into and enjoy the world of clay, ceramics and Mastering the Craft and Art of Pottery!! Highly Recommend!!!

The tools in this kit that are made of metal are quite nice, especially the ball-shaped tools which are very heavy and well made. Great variety of shapes too, although I do wish it had some smaller sizes of wire loops! The same level of quality doesn’t apply to the wooden tools though. I’ve been using these tools as intended, to carve sculpey or wax clay for my college sculpture classes. Despite not putting an unreasonable amount of stress on them, I’ve somehow managed to snap the tips off all the wood knives/scrapers in this kit. I’d recommend this set for the carrying case and the tools with metal or rubber tips, but don’t bother attempting to use the wooden ones lol.

I've been a potter for many years and I've held alot of tools. these are all right kind of like the difference from regular crayons to those giant ones. well not that bad but get a "mud tool" wooden knife and you'll see what I mean. but here you are looking for a set of cheap pottery tools this is a great set for you. you're either going to go 1 of 2 ways. you're either going to get better and get better tools or like me just make or minipulate the tools you have. I make trimming tools from hack saw blades and I don't file off the teeth my standards are low. but as i stated in comparison to more expensive tools you will notice the difference but if you're just trying to get through a class this will overly do and good luck

lots of tools and most are fine. I'm a beginner so probably don't even know what to do with most of them. but some of the brass colored tool ends don't stay on so i had to glue them.

I bought this for an 8 week beginner’s wheel throwing class. It provided me with everything and more. Tools have stood up well to clay exposure and cleanings.
