Dino's Illustrated Maps of The Prehistoric World

I have 2 dinosaur crazy boys (4 & 6y) and this is perfect on a wall in their playroom. It has little icons for different "aspects" of a creature (herbivore, carnivore, omnivore and also type of creature - bird, mammal, reptile, dinosaur etc). The evolution chart goes all the way from Precambrian to modern human, and my kids now can tell me more about australopithicus and neanderthals that I know :) I put it up on the wall close to the floor and put a rug and pillows by it, and boys spend a lot of time trying to find dinosaurs and other creatures and figuring out when they existed and what they ate and they make up games with it.I was actually trying to find a map with the continents they way they are today, and different places where we have found the fossils, but this one actually has the land mass as it was in some random period of time in earth's history - which I wish was different - but the kids love it, and are learning something from it, and its an interesting colorful addition to the playroom, so no complaints. And we did get to talk about why the land in the map looks different from the map in their atlas, so maybe its not so bad after all :)

The prehistoric illustrated map is "super, excellent"! It is for my grandson and he loves it! He looks for hours (1-2 hours) at the map, learns about the different prehistoric animals: when and where they lived. Even makes up some educational games with the information on the map.We hang it up on the wall in the living room - easy excess and he loves it.Excellent buy!

My now-5-year-old went through a combination of map and dinosaur obsession, so this was a favorite item for about a year and many hours were spent looking over it.

Arrived on time and well-packaged. Good quality laminated paper with nice, bright colors.

This was a birthday gift for a boy who is really into anything prehistoric. I hear he was delighted with it.
