A powerhouse of flavor, award winning EVOO and it tastes like a winner. It's peppery, very low acidity, light and spicy. The color is beautiful. It's going to take quite a bit of money to compete with this one. Not very many EVOO's have this high anti-oxidant rating. Nothing can compare in this price range, not in my 75 year old Sicilian history.

I decided to start shopping for higher quality olive oil after reading Extra Virginity by Tom Mueller. He said the best olive oils have either a tart or peppery taste. I opened this right away and tasted. It comes across as peppery and will make an excellent cooking oil. Well packaged in a light-proof and air tight container. Good oil isn't cheap to produce, and this will cost you around 4 times a comparable amount at a store for an oil that may not even rate as food-quality. It's worth the investment. Buy an amount you'll use quickly.

A quality olive oil. Well presented . Suggest the actual production date be labeled not just an " expiration " date . My tin says best by June 2018. I take that to mean it was crushed into olive oil in June 2016?

OK, but I switched to Mr. Papou's, a much more flavorful olive oil!

BEST OLIVE OIL I'VE EVER HAD FROM ITALY !

Product tasted just fine, but the bottle I received was from 2018, and thus way set to "expire" a month after receiving it. I know olive oil lasts a long time, even past the date given on a bottle, but this still isn't acceptable.

Da ich selber nie so recht weis ob und welcher bewertung mann trauen kann schreib ich hiermit meine erste, das öl ist licht und luftdich verpackt, an der verpackung also nix zu bemängeln. Der geschmack sehr scharf und kaum nach olive, bereits der erste geruchstest nach dem frischen öffnen der flasche auch eher mager. Ich bin jz kein olivenöl profi aber hier und dort mal auf ner messe hab ich schon olivenöl aus diversen familienproduktionen gekostet und diese waren geschmacklich als auch geruchstechnisch deutlich meiner vorstellung näher. Ich kann hier leider keine kaufempfehlung aussprechen werde es zwar dennoch aufbrauchen und wieder bester hoffnung das nächste probieren.

I wouldn't waste it for frying something but it is awesome for dipping fresh bread with balsamic or salad dressing. Its a fine quality oil that has a taste unlike the cheap store bought stuff (that may or may not be real olive oil lol).

It's OK maybe for cooking, but it's certainly not a high quality olive oil.

I am happy with this olive oil. I use it for salads, frying, baking. Next time, I order, I am going to get the 2-pack, so I can try the other one which doesn't come on it' s own.
