Is the storage area completely sealed? I need to at least try to keep bugs & water out of it

If you get a driving rain you may have to dry out the contents. The lid blows open pretty easily if not locked or weighted down. It does come with a lock set up but we chose not to install it since we figured the kids would end up cutting the backs of their legs on it! Plus we couldn't see the need to lock anything up in it. Overall it is a pretty nice bench, just wish it was 100% water proof..... But I have yet to find one that is.

How many chair cushions (back & seat) can you fit inside?

Here are the Internal Measurements 50.4" W x 19.5" D x 14.9" H. We recommend comparing the dimension of the cushions to these to be sure.
