Been waiting for this for 50 years
The grease gun is well built, included LockNLube Coupling, heavy duty rivets, linkages, cast aluminum head, textured rubber grips, durable handles, 18" hose, grease tube seal, and the rolled round threads for quick and easy tube attachment (I've seen my share of cross-threaded large diameter fine thread fittings). The adjustment for the volume / pressure output is a nice feature and easy to change. It all looks like it will last the rest of my life (note to self - Will: who's deserving of such a great grease gun).Elimination of the spring plunger/follower is the first real grease gun innovation in over 50+ years - it's about time (although I think the Germans did it first - see Air Tec Lube Shuttle) - a good idea is a good idea, and I congratulate LockNLube for partnering with Pressol another German company to bring this product to the US. The best part of the LockNLube Easy-Prime design is the ability to use any standard off-the-shelf grease brand or type - the Lube Shuttle commits you to using their grease. I'm not knocking Lube Shuttle or their grease or their cost, I just like to have availability and choices for my supplies - I don't like being single sourced. If you have all the zerk space in the world the LockNLube coupling is fantastic - it locks positively and seals to the zerk and releases on command - all praise to the LockNLube coupling - well deserved credit. But for very tight access zerks it's a NO-GO, it will spit grease just like any other / misaligned / brand new / worn out / cheap / expensive coupling - it doesn't matter. The issue is the head diameter: 5/8 inches. My driveline has zerks where that won't fit. I found a coupling that's advertised as standard "small" and some reviewers say the diameter is 9/16 inches - this will fit my tight access driveline zerks. To make the coupling switch tool-less (since you're under the truck and in the mud) I use Paintball gun quick-connect couplers 1/8 inch NPT fittings and rated for about 5000psi (I'm sure there's a safety factor for over pressure situations) but it's close enough for horse shoes and government work and this grease gun's rating of 5000psi (and nobody's going to die from a grease explosion). Now I can switch from poker needle, to long heavy needle, to standard "small" coupling, to LockNLube coupling, all tool-less. I just carry all of these greasy bits in a zip lock bag under the truck with me and I can do all the greasing without making multiple trips to the bench or using tools. It wasn't cheap and it took some guzintas to order the right parts - but it makes a difficult job easier for an old man - do more work with your head than your heels. The 18inch hose is ok if you're working top down on lawn mowers and stuff, but under a vehicle, it's a long reach up or around or over to get to some of the zerks and then those become a 2 hand over-head job - so to solve that problem, I ordered a 3ft hose and I have the quick-couplers on that as well, so I can switch to long hose or short hose.THERE IS ONE FAILURE MODE TO WHICH ALL GREASE GUNS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE (spring plunger/follower or vacuum pump) - AIR in the grease tube. First time out - it was all smiles - pump pump pump - till it wasn't. I unscrewed the grease tube and lo and behold I found in my new tube of Lucas Red and Tacky - a nice big colorless pocket of air (it's really great grease - see the project farm review - but it's much much more expensive than you think per ounce because you're buying some of the earth's precious atmosphere and they charge a lot for that because it's so hard to get in a tube - see the other reviews). I solved the problem just as described on the LockNLube youtube videos - with the tube off of the head, just press up on the bottom plunger cap, screw it back onto the head, and re-prime the pump. All grease guns in this situation will need to be re-primed. This was just really easy to disassemble, and see the problem myself, and it was really clean and simple to fix. Second time out - it was all smiles - pump pump pump - until the coupling wouldn't fit - explained and resolved above. All in all - I'm very happy with all of the LockNLube products, simple priming and my very expensive quick-coupling and hose workarounds.

Easy low mess.
Was looking for a different type of grease gun. This was it. Seems very high quality. I was worried the followers wouldn't work with the new style plastic 14 oz grease tube but it was a nice tight fit and cleaned the walls as it went in. It has a volume mode and pressure mode by moving the lever. It's been hanging in the garage in Florida for a week now and it has not spilled out like others have had issues with. The connector is so easy. I'm never going back to a conventional grease gun.

I love it!!!
This grease gun made impossible thing: it made me LOVE greasing!!!I am now looking for excuse to get the gun and grease something. Before, greasing meant to be smeared with grease all over. All grease guns leak. This does not. Cartridge change with this gun is a miracle. Simple, clean and easy. The best part is that you use standard cartridges!!!Highly recommend!!!

Works amazingly well
I have to admit I was not sure how well this would work. It was very easy to use, and the cap was pulled up with the suction created perfectly. Instructions say you may have to push the cap up from time to time. I never had to, and I found this much easier than my old grease gun. Very impressed!

An Excellent Grease Gun to add to my Collection!
The ease of use is amazing and I especially like the nozzle. It's so much easier to use than the John Deere grease gun I have. Minus one star because though the nozzle is so easy to use, it has trouble fitting into tight spaces like when greasing my mower spindles. No regrets purchasing this grease gun!!

Works as it should worth the money

Absolutely worth the price
Wish I knew about this 3 grease guns ago. This takes far less space and with that special coupler I no longer have to deal with grease going everywhere else but into the zerk fitting. Good stuff. Totally worth the $$$.
