From American Idol To British Rock Royalty - The Amazing Story Of Adam Lambert

As an avid Adam Lambert fan who has followed his career devotedly from the time he was on American Idol, I wasn't expecting to learn anything new from this book. But I assumed I could enjoy the read anyway. I didn't. Mr. Daniels did no real legwork for this book. He did none of his own interviews with friends, family, former co-workers, the sort of interviews and research one would expect of a biographer. Instead he relied completely on existing articles and interviews found on the internet. Having used archives of existing materials might have been forgivable but it is so poorly organized that it seems no effort was put into the timeline of Adam's life and career. Events and stories jump back and forth so someone not already familiar with the subject would easily become quite confused. There were also occasional factual errors regarding details that are widely known and could have been easily checked. I don't think I'm a particularly good writer but I am 100% certain that I could have spent a couple of months on the internet and written a far better book than this one. I can't think of a single reason to recommend that anyone else spend their time reading it.

Very basic writing skills and that is probably giving more credit than is due. Within the first few pages I noted many inaccuracies in the information that was provided. A lot of information was taken from interviews that can be found in the internet. I noticed quite a few fillers that do nothing other than up the page count. By fillers I mean listing every song off an album…totally unnecessary. Errors in grammar prove there was no proof-reading involved. So glad I decided in the end to go with the $5 kindle version because that's all it's worth. Just another person capitalizing on Adam's fame.

This book is cheaply designed and the content lacks substantive material on Adam Lambert. AND, it does not depict the quality writing and real life depth and breath of anything representative of the Iconic, Adam Mitchel Lambert that we glamberts know and love. Please don't waste your money like I did.

If you follow Adam Lambert at all, you've heard all the information that's in this 3/4 of a book. Easy reading.

Wanted to know how Adam traveled from American Idol or a Star with Queen. It was very interesting.. Love him!
