Just what I needed
Incredibly helpful information. Just what I needed to help me cope with a little known, stressful condition where other informants are thin on the ground.

Suffering from Food Reactions? READ THIS!
Histamine Intolerance written by Reinhart Jarisch is another life-changing book. Thanks Amazon. I've been on a life-long journey of trying to find answers to my "weird" medical symptoms and have finally found an explanation in this book! After I read the book, I immediately turned it over to my physician because she also shares the same medical symptoms as I do. Now I know WHY I have reactions to certain foods containing high histamines. Now if the United States will jump on the band wagon, maybe those suffering from multiple illnesses will get answers too.Thank you!

Well supported with lots of documentation and references
This is a compendium of the current state of knowledge on histamine intolerance. Contrary to the only other review at the date of my writing, all of the statements are supported by evidence and/or critical thinking. The only draw back is some awkward language which is, i think, poor translation from the German, and a tendency by the editor to write in short form.

Heavy, medical school stuff.
Not a book for the layman, and not a self-help guide by any stretch of the imagination. I'm a professional reference librarian and this manual is for the docs chemistry classes. If you need a do-it-yourself help plan, this is NOT it.

One Star
The statements (for the most part) are not well supported.

Phenomenal text any science nerd should have.
Excellent text on Histamine Intolerance. Dives into so pretty phenomenon histamine and hormone connections. Any science nerd wanting to connect more dots will gain loads from this. Since I am now able to spot more cases of HIT, I would estimate over half of my patients suffer from this...undiagnosed.
