Excellent piece of equipment
This product is a bargain, but would be a bargain even at a higher price. The instructions are very clear, and make it easy to program the pedometer to your specifications. The display is large and very visible, even in daylight. The set, mode and reset buttons are large enough so that using them is not a problem. The pedometer counts steps, distance traveled, and calories expended. The pedometer's default mode is to display the time. It does not, however, calculate the time used in the exercise session. I do that by simply bringing my smart phone on my walk and using its timer. I have only used this pedometer for walking. The instructions suggest clipping it to your waistband while exercising, but when I did that it did not register the steps. The solution is to clip it to your pocket, where it is closer to the hip motion and records quite easily I had earlier purchased a Boxmy Fitness Tracker from Amazon. The instructions were so incomprehensible that I immediately returned it without ever using it. For my walking regimen, this Pingko is an ideal product. I highly recommend it.

Don't buy
Very cheaply made if you drop them they bust open I've lost one the clip isn't deep enough to hang on anything I usually have to keep it in my pocket but then it won't work they're not very reliable if you slap it in your hand it'll start counting regardless

Disapponted
Update after having to return the one I purchased and receiving another one being it never turned off to reserve the battery, well this second one is also not turning off. I will be returning it too. Too bad because I really like it. Had spent some time in trying to figure out how to use this Pinkgo and think I figured it out. Only confusion is I have googled how many miles in a km is. I walked which was 1.80 km and google is showing that was 1.1185 miles, but my treadmill showed 0.50 miles which I believe is only half of mile. So, confused. But it is a must buy love how tiny it is.

Works well after a while although at first it did not
The pedometer is the right size and has the functions I wanted without a few extra's that I didn't want but others might like. The instructions were a little lacking but it was possible to figure out how to get everything set up without too much trouble. It lets you switch from Metric to English units and to enter your stride length in order to compute miles/kilometers walked, and to enter your weight so it can compute calories. I thought these were nice "bonus" features although I really only wanted to count my steps every day. Unfortunately at first the pedometer was not accurate at all. Wearing it in the same spot and the same way while walking the same route, one day it recorded over 5,000 steps, another day 3,000, another day 3,800. I decided to post my original (1-star) review one day after walking for an hour and finding it had recorded zero steps. However, I kept using the pedometer despite its failings, more or less for amusement, and after a few days, for whatever reason, it somehow seemed to be become much more consistent. I am now getting step counts that are always within a few dozen of each other. I am still using it the same way. Maybe something inside it worked itself loose? The pedometer does have a mechanical device within it that makes it count the steps, so it's possible that something had to smooth itself out over time (although I'm just guessing). Since the pedometer is now giving consistent counts that seem to be correct, I upped my rating to four stars. I am still docking a star for the instructions being hard to follow and for the initial period of inaccuracy.

Loved it so much I have two colors now!
Really happy I got this pedometer! I already have the red one and I really love it but I think I might like this one even more. It doesn't perform any better than the other, they're both just as good but I like that this one is black because it doesn't stand out as much as the bright red one does which is nice when I'm in a more professional setting. Anyway, just like the last one it came on time, nicely packaged, and looked exactly like the pictures online. I've been tracking EVERYTHING lately in an attempt to lose weight and get healthier but I realized a few weeks ago that it just wasn't possible to track my activity accurately without a pedometer so I got the red one and absolutely fell in love. It's small and lightweight which I like a lot because I don't notice it when I'm wearing it. Depending on what I'm wearing that day, I'll just clip it onto my shirt or pants and forget about it until the end of the night when it's time to log my numbers. If I have something important to do i'll usually stuff it into my back pocket or clip it onto my bra so nobody sees it but now that I have this black one it will be much easier to hide when I need or want to. They're very easy to use, too. I like that I don't need an additional app because I hate using up all that space on my phone and it's so much simpler this way. I'm really liking both of them and I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in tracking their steps, distance, or calories burned!

not worth the price
6 months ago, I purchased 3, one for me, the other 2 for my teens. At first they were fine and easy to program. However, we notice they never turn off. I used mine about 3 times then it stopped working. I paid $15 for each. not to happy to pay so much for low quality. :(

I wanted this one to work. However.
Totally rewriting my review and cutting my 2 stars to 1. Zero if I could. I recently lost the pedometer I bought to replace this one when this one failed a minimalist test just around the house. I had tucked this in a box to go to Goodwill. But put this one on again, fixed to a strap that fits snugly around my ankle, and this time I went shopping. Parked in the farthest corner of the parking lot at each of 3 stores. In the 2 bigger stores I walked a haphazard course that including doubling back on myself: extra steps. After the 3rd store, I walked across the street to CVS to see if they had pedometers, must have checked every aisle - lots more steps - and left empty-handed. Checked this pedometer when I got home: all that walking for 85 whole steps on the pedometer!! I know from experience that that trip usually takes more like 2,200+ steps. Reset to zero, went for my walk. About 1.75 miles, usually about 5,000-6,000 steps for me depending on how much I slow down for traffic or dogs, feel tired, take big steps over puddles, etc, but for the most part it's an uninterrupted walk, 1 intersection and no stop lights. With this pedometer? 1,270 steps. So, it clearly doesn't work at all for me. I'm a bit mystified about why it ever registers a step at all, when it does, frankly.

Not good enough. Does not record all the steps taken. No date-wise reports too. Disappointed with the purchase.
