The content coverage is okay.
It focuses more on breadth than depth, and the breadth isnt that great.

Starts slowly - picks up stream around chapter 10
I enjoyed it and considered it helpful. But you will have to adjust to the current version of Angular to get some subtle changes. I think the Cookbook hit stride when it gets to some of the later chapters.

A Great Swiss Army Knife for Angular Developers
Angular Cookbook is a great resource for new and experienced Angular Developers alike. What the book excels at is showing common patterns and boilerplate for intermediate and complex topics. This is the sort of book that I would turn to if I need to implement something complex that I have not implemented before, or if I need to look at a code sample for something that I do infrequently. My favorite section in the Angular Cookbook is its section on animations. Animations are a great way to provide reactivity and fluidity to a web app, but they can be somewhat daunting to write for newer Angular developers. The Angular Cookbook provides code samples for animating components, but takes it one step further by explaining how a given code sample works and what the sample is doing. Providing extra context like this is critical for newer developers to learn and fully understand what they're doing. The only thing I could see that might be improved in this book is that there are unnecessary references to VS Code in several of the Getting Started sections. This isn't a major issue: using any IDE is fine. However, since the book doesn't use any plugins, snippets, or VS Code-specific features, I don't see much of a reason why VS Code would be mentioned explicitly. A newer developer may get a bit confused by this and go out of their way to install additional software that may not be necessary if they already have an editor of choice.Overall, this is a stellar book that all Angular developers would benefit from having on their bookshelves.

Does what it says on the tin!
"Angular Cookbook" provides a huge range of examples covering much of the Angular framework, and also many third-party tools. The recipes are well-considered and demonstrate frequently used patterns, with easy to follow examples that you can build yourself from the source projects. The "How It Works" section of each recipe provides a good summary, and there is lots of good supplementary information attached. Some of the recipes are quite narrow in scope, but that's because the topics covered are huge and could be whole books themselves! I would have liked to see some sort of exercise after each chapter to apply the recipes and reinforce the learnings. For me, this kind of content is better suited to a digital format, so that it can be updated as the framework evolves. As a physical entity it provides a good reference of the capabilities of the Angular framework at the current snapshot in time, but the recipes may not be the best way to work with Angular in 6 months or a years time.Overall, this is a solid resource for those wanting to learn more about the capabilities of Angular. Don't expect to find all the answers here, but the recipes provide a solid starting point for understanding the ecosystem and jargon of Angular, which will help launch you towards solutions for you own more specific problems.

Amazing Book, Great Tool
This is a great book that can be used by all levels of Software Developers, whether you are experienced or not. It shows some really great patterns and includes boiler plates for a wide range of topics. Each code Sample comes with an in depth explanation! If you have any questions on the book you can also head over to Ahsan's Twitch where he will personally answer any questions you may have!

A lot of actionable recipes that will help Angular developers navigate the framework successfully
There's an impressive amount of content in this book. It covers all the key areas an Angular developer should be aware of. The recipes are mostly short and to the point, leaving it open for readers to research further more advanced and comprehensive topics such as RxJs. I was particularly interested in the Performance Optimizations section which provides several useful recipes for debugging and improving the performance of Angular applications. I've no doubt it will be an invaluable reference for Angular developers of any experience level.

Clarifies the most Useful Mechanisms
Wish I bought this book sooner. Right away clarifies in succinct language / effective examples mechanisms like observables and how to properly access child components.
