I steam the rice so it’s absolutely essential that I use the best quality rice and this one did not disappoint. If you plan to cook with this rice make sure you soak it overnight, this conditioning step is a must to get the best rice.

Fried this rice up with garlic Peas and carrots. Very good. Two cups water to one cup of rice.

I became interested in Indian cuisine a year or so ago and did most of my shopping at a local family-owned (LOVELY family!) specialty store. With Covid-19 (I'm very high risk), I'm doing whatever I need to do to stay safe, so I've been acquiring food differently than I ever imagined.I really like "real" basmati rice and was out, so I tried Amazon. Yes, it's more expensive than the local store, but services cost money. Getting stuff delivered from the supermarket costs more too. It's just how it is. Hopefully, none of us will have to live through another pandemic in our lifetimes!ANYway...I tried this rice and was blown away by the fragrance when I opened the bag- it was WONDERFUL! It cooks up well, too (I don't soak it, but I do rinse it until the water runs clear). And if I wasn't a complete klutz and always dropping things, I wouldn't be buying it again quite so soon!

This is my favorite rice. Much better than what I can get in the grocery stores. Recently, I ordered a 10lb bag. But FedX lost the package. The seller replaced the order with no fanfare. As it happened, fed X found the order somewhere and sent it to me (over a month late). The seller told me not to worry, that I could keep the extra bag for no charge.

I have used Basmati rice all my life but have never experienced an awful smell like this rice.
