I recently tried the Lane’s Habanero Powder, 7.5 oz for seasoning a homemade hot sauce and some grilled chicken, and it added a bold, smoky heat that really elevated the flavor. The powder blends easily into sauces, rubs, and marinades — a little goes a long way, so it’s easy to control intensity. That said, the heat is strong! If you like spicy but not blazing-hot dishes, be sure to start with a small pinch. For heat lovers or recipes needing a solid kick, this powder is a solid choice.

I like that this product contains no additives. It adds flavor and mild heat to homemade tacos, homemade chili, and other dishes. This is a repeat purchase; I have used up a container of this and had to order more as it has become a staple in my spice cabinet.

Purchased two times now - great product. Just a great coarse grind of both pepper and salt. We put it into a ceramic shaker that has large enough holes (not huge holes, but you know...), and use it every day on everything we want salt and pepper on. My personal favorite trait is: you only need ONE HAND! No screwing a cap, holding a grinder, blah blah. Just pick this up, tip it over and there you are. Great for grilling, yes - but don't hesitate to use it in your kitchen as a choice for great flavor and ease of dispensing.

I've used mustard powder for years, buying Colman's off the shelf at our local grocery store. It is the only brand of mustard powder they carry. The Colman's powder is not only expensive (it's imported from the U.K.), but also tends to disappear from the store shelves for weeks and sometimes months on end. Why? I don't know. To address the disappearing problem, I would stock up on Colman's whenever it did appear back on the shelf. Recently, my stock of mustard powder was running low while our local grocery store was in the midst of a multi-week powder drought. I finally said, "Enough, already! Let's see if I can buy this stuff from Amazon!" I was a little surprised to discover that I could indeed buy mustard powder from Amazon. I selected this brand, Lane's, simply because it was the cheapest. I wondered whether it would taste terrible. Well, I'm pleased to report that I like the taste of Lane's mustard powder better than Colman's! Lane's powder has a slightly milder, richer, fuller taste. It's just plain better! Count me as a very satisfied customer—at least, based on the first container of Lane's mustard powder that I've received. I'll certainly be buying more.

The mixture is spot on – you can tell the ingredients are well-combined, ensuring an even distribution of flavor. The quality of the salt and pepper seems high-notch, delivering a clean and robust taste. Plus, the price point is definitely reasonable for what you get. My only slight reservation, and this is purely down to personal preference, is that I found it a tad too salty for my liking. While it certainly enhances the flavors of whatever you're barbequing, those sensitive to sodium might want to use it a bit more sparingly. Overall, this is a reliable and well-made rub that delivers on its promise of simple, quality seasoning.
