certainly adds colour to dishes
buying vegetables in powdered-form seems a good way to obtain nourishing minerals; so have been adding a few tablespoons of beetroot-powder to dishes; adds a nice red colour to things; trust the nutrients are there too

Appears to be real thing. Two packets purchased at different times, both AOK.
I have purchased two different packs, of different sizes a week apart and they were both the same. This stuff is quite sweet, tasted of beetroot and only beetroot. I am using it for the nitrates and so the sugar that comes with it is a necessary evil but I do want some reassurance that it is indeed powdered beetroot. In larger doses (three plus spoons in water) it turned my urine slightly red. It is a very fine powder that does not have grains or lumps in. However - it does not mix well with water on its own, rather clumping and going gloopy. I found a simple solution was to mix the dry powder with another powder first - I use creatine or a DIY amino acid blend. You then simply add the water and shake or stir. Colour-wise it is a reddy purple, which adds to my suspicion that this is the real thing. I have purchased from a different source (one that has a name that sounds like supplements from the top of a mountain) organic beetroot powder; that is a muddy reddy brown colour and it quite frankly does not make my urine red, does not taste like beetroot - and is not sweet - and has fine grit in it, that make me think it could possibly be powdered potato skin or something similar! This stuff however I will be buying more of in the future.

Like it
Bought this for "health benefits " because i don't like beetroot. So this goes in smoothies. Not convinced after hearing a program about fake powders and vitamins. But we live in hope that @amazon.com make sure products. They sell are genuine. But i must say my gut health and digestion. Have been better since using it.

NEVER SEEN A BEETROOT !
I bought this horrible product as it came up when I was looking for beetroot powder as I have been using that for years and or eating fresh beetroot.I put it on my porridge and yogurt on top, and it has NEVER EVER melted like this or turned into caramel. There is Absolutely NO taste of beetroot what so ever, so what is it made off beggars believe.Yes, beetroot powder has a slight sweetness to it, this has literally NO taste whatsoever, I did wonder about the very dark red colour when I decided to buy it, but thought there different beetroots. This is not worth the money, have never seen a beetroot, as again there is no taste of beetroot whatsoever. You might be better off with some sugar and colouring. Keep far away from this.
