Perfect for pike leaders
I bought this leader material to make pike leaders for ice fishing. Using the correct size sleeves I was able to easily make multiple quick stroke and single hook leaders for ice fishing. I appreciate how small the diameter is considering it’s a 7 strand, and also how clean they pack away with no curling of the material or memory. They hold up and the wire is easy to work with.

Great line
I snagged the bottom and actually broke my pole instead of the 20lb. test line I was using. Easy to tie knots in too.

Good stuff, easy to knot
I really like this 7X7. The main advantage I think is presentation and you don't need crimps. With the 40 pound I use the Uni knot with three twists. I like this for fly fishing so that you don't have a bulky crimp in your leader, and this stuff flexes more than 1X7. If you're going to go above 40 pounds I don't see any advantage to using this stuff over just plain 1x7 or solid wire. Presentation is debatable, it will be argued to death, just focus on the ability to simply tie a knot. Uni to Uni braid with six twists, wire three and no crimp needed.

Great wire leader material
I have been using this product for many years on the upper Mississippi River. This works excellent for keeping Northern pike from biting off your lures. I put this on all my fishing poles. I have found that 20 lb test is the just right for flexibility and toughness. Beware; this line can break if the wire starts to abraid. Keep a close eye on the area closest to the knot or if the line looks like the wire is starting to fray.I have not found any other product that works as well is this. I have saved many lures and more importantly caught more fish by using this product.

Good product
I have made a habit of not using this when Iam bottom bashing so as not to hook up Sharks which I don't eat! and are ,difficult to land..It functions well and is tie able so I don't need fancy crimps or tools...I use the same product for finesse fishing at the end of a Nylon leader....

the leader can be hand tied.
I like that the leader can be hand tied. I make lite leaders for trolling small cranks for crappies. The line is be flexible and extremely strong and prevents loosing the crank baits when a Northern decides to hit.

Simply the best
I have used this wire for a while now to make tope traces, to my mind it is the best around. It is supple and easily knotable as opposed to crimping which I tend to avoid although no doubt it could be crimped. It doesn't kink easily and is hard wearing, I would be loath to use anything else.

best knottable leader in the world
been using this product for years..usually the 40lb rated for in shore land popping etc..have used the 90lb for bottom bashing but sharks dont always cut through it which leaves you having to get them close to the boat to extract hooks or just cutting off tackle...will use the 65lb as a compromise..I dont mind dropping sharks, it is the macks and whatever good reef fish I dont wish to lose
