Heartwarming
In this third novel of the Provence series, Kat and Phillippe continue their romance. We are swept along with Kat's emotions as she questions her decision to move from Canada to France on a more permanent basis. What is she leaving behind? Will she miss home and wish she had not made a commitment to Phillippe? Does she know him well enough? Does she deserve this seemingly perfect relationship? As the story develops, it is obvious to the reader that the author must have a very good knowledge of rural France. She paints an idyllic picture of the setting in Provence that rings true and believable. It's a feel-good story giving hope to people who have lost out in previous relationships.

The End to a Fantastic Series!
"I Promise You This," is the third and final book in Patricia Sand's Love in Provenance series. In this final episode, Katherine is caught between her love of Provenance, and Philippe, and those she loves and feels obligated to in Toronto. Her roots have grown deep in Provenance, connecting her to those whose first shared the uniqueness of their homeland with her. Her relationship with Philippe is strong and deep and everyday she feels more deeply bound to France. When tragedy strikes and Katherine returns to Toronto, she finds that Provenance dims as she deals with the issues at hand. Is her love for Philippe just part of a dream? Can she really give up everything she has known as home to surrender to another country? This book is heat-wrenching in places and really captures the personal struggles involved in life choices. Sands does an amazing job of bringing this series to a tender and unique closure. I highly recommend this entire series for personal pleasure or as a gift for a fellow book lover!

An Inspirational Read
I had downloaded this trilogy quite a while ago and rediscovered it in my "to read"list at the perfect time in my life.I am a 57 yr old woman who survived a tragic car accident early last year. Unfortunately, my wonderful husband of 37 years did not. Like Kat, my life changed in an instant and I was shocked and lost.On a positive note, I consider myself a francofile and had the pleasure of visiting the South of France about10 years ago and dream of the day I will be able to return.Until then,I will do the next best thing during my time of emotional and physical healing,I will read fabulously entertaining and inspiring books such as these. It is rare to find fiction books with characters of a certain age who are rediscovering themselves. While one year may be a little unrealistic for such a recovery,it was wonderful to see Kat tackle her fears and find she could rely on her own judgement. The supporting characters were well rounded and it was a treat to e them face their many challenges with the help of each other. The descriptions of the settings both in France and Toronto made me enjoy being an armchair traveler.I always love having enough information so that I can follow along the horny on Google Earth and immerse myself within the pages of the book.I realize that I am not revealing enough about the individual books in this series.Do yourself a favor and purchase all three and read straight through. You will be glad you did!

I Promise You This is the beautiful continuation of the story begun in The Promise of Provence. Patricia writes with heart and understanding and true compassion. She blends the ever changing wonders of Provence, the Loire Valley & Antibes and the modern diversity of Toronto & Ontario with important, sometimes difficult life issues and the true romance of love in all its forms. I Promise You This challenged my thoughts and my perceptions as it made me smile, made me cry and made my heart sing.

Great series
I'm not a romance novel reader, but I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Admittedly, I love France, and I loved Patricia's description of the French countryside, the many beautiful villages, and the love of life of the French people. The expensive lifestyle and the ability to go anywhere and do anything with no concern for what it might cost seemed a bit unrealistic. Everything just seemed to happen with no mention of what it cost.I won't give it away, but I loved the ending as well. It left me hoping that the saga would continue!

A wonderful read
This is the 3rd and last book of the series. It's been a treat to follow the protagonist through a series of steps in her life, leaving Canada after the end of a 23 yr. marriage, the death of her mother to whom she'd been close and a decision to house swap and spend time in France, reassessing her decisions for the present and future. She has found close friendships and a solid romance which culminates in a major change for her. Not wishing to "give away" more than this to the story, suffice that it's charming and the reader is caught in the delicacy of the relationship and the evolving of Cat's mind leading her to the best solution possible.

Kat Continues Her French Adventure
The third in the Love in Provence series, Kat was back in France getting ready to return to Canada and her life there. However, she changed her mind and this book follows her life and ensuing adventures both in France and in Canada. Her friend Molly is in a serious car accident and Kat returns to help her friend. Meanwhile, Kat is second-guessing herself on some decisions she recently made. The book has some twists and turns that I did not expect. It would have been four or five star except that I do not speak French and having to translate the many phrases took away from the book, in my opinion. I also prefer more succinct descriptions. While I do not know anyone like Nick, I am not naïve enough to think there isn't someone somewhere who has the same personality and philosophy of life.

Kat & Philipe culmination of romance
Great final book of a three book series. Sands continues the love theme between Kat and Phillipe. Ties up lose ends with Molly. The first two books were more riveting. Much more of a steady motoring. Just like a good long relationship. Sands would have added some spice equal to the first two books if she kicked up the gear between Molly and her secret boyfriend and let us see them ride off to the sunset. Interesting twists and turns, but no where near the page turner for the third book. Read it, it closes up the loose ends.

I PROMISE YOU THIS
HAVING READ ALL THREE BOOKS I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO IS AT A CROSSROADS IN THEIR LIFE AND/OR PEOPLE WHO LOVE FRANCE.THE STORY WINDS ITSELF THROUGH PROVENNCE AND THE AREA AROUND AND ABOVE NICE, MONACO AND MANY BEAUTIFUL AND FACINATING VILLAGES, INTERESTING MUSEUMS AND ART EXHIBITIONS IN THIS AREA OF FRANCE WHERE MANY FAMOUS ARTISTS LIVED WHEN THEY WERE UNKNOWN.THE STORY TAKES ONE BACK THROUGH GENERATIONS. OF LOCAL HISTORY, CHEESE , RESTAURANTS, AND MANY OTHER DETAILS OF THE AREA.HOWEVER, MOSTLY IT IS A LOVE STORY BETWEEN PHILLIPE AND KATHERINE AND BETWEEN KATHERINE AND FRANCE..THIS IS WHERE WE WILL GO NEXT TIME WE ARE IN FRANCE TO DISCOVER AN AREA I HAVE ALMOST FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THROUGH THESE 3 BOOKS. THANK YOU PATRICIA

too silly for all the words expended
really have some difficulty in believing that I managed to get to the end of this trilogy -hoped the last volume would be a bit better but just the same pretty turgud nonsense and since the books never really engaged me, it was hard to feel much joy at the marriage of the two main protagonists. partly, this is because they are very one dimensional especially philippe whose main snd apparently only characteristics are that he is drop dead handsome, an ace cheeseemaker and a widower. Pico, the first (and there are more!) dog has a more detailed description afforded to himas ever, this book had lots of not so interesting diversions ranging from drooling desriptions of every mouthful eaten to a potted history of Mougins and Gourdon (at least the travelogues bring back personal recollections) to finding out the relationship between Simone to Philiipe (who cares?)as for the extended parts of the book on frigging delicious Molly, she is is irritating beyond belief and is a totally unbelievable invention altogether a waste of timeall these books neede to decide

Love in Provence Books
I picked these books at randam and I could not put not put them down, the stories are very well written and you get drawn in with the characters, the french phrases also made it unusual. I feel there is another book to come, hopefully! Will read other books by this author. Have recommended to my daughter who has just started book 1, I am sure she will enjoy them as much as I did.

What a joy
I've now read all three books in the trilogy and have been transported to the south of France and Canada. The characters in the stories are so real and the richness of the descriptions of the food and the ambience of the locations makes me recall my own life experiences... I've bought the audio books as well so that I can listen to them again whilst sewing Christmas quilts for my family... What a joy ❤️
