I was really surprised by the two negative reviews. I have used this punch a lot without failure. Instructions say don't try to move to another style while the machine is closed - maybe they did not read the instructions?I have used the corner cutter on heat-sealed card-type badges. Perfect line up with the directional line and correct cutting every time. Just flip the card over to do the other corners. The single hole punch is really handy to make key tags or gift tags and the slot punch is what I bought it for - perfect alignment for card badges, top-to-slot and centered. I have wrestled with a single punch and you never get it straight. The fact that this stays stationary on the table while you punch works just as well as a heavy-duty two hole punch.I am pleased.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I was having a hard time finding a badge slot punch for a decent price. I needed something that could measure the short edge of the badge to ensure a centered slot. This is does exactly that! You can of course use it for long edge slots as well. I also like that you can easily remove the ruler for better storage.

We never thought we would need such an item, until the laminated pre-punched badge sleeves we used for our volunteer staff were suddenly no longer available! Who knew finding something that could punch a "slot" instead of a circular hole would be such an important thing? Not us, not me. This will work. We don't do more than one at a time, we don't do thousands. It is a minute task, but we're glad we have it.

I initially wanted something that would cut corners smaller than 1/8" but couldn't find anything and ended up settling with this item. I intended to use it to make rounded corners on laminated labels (basically adhesive printer paper with laminating sheet over it). It cut ok, but some of the corners came out a little off center. This could be because of the material I was using, so it may work better on heavier stock. The cuts also ended up a lot larger than 1/8" so it really didn't work for my purposes.If you're using heavier material and don't mind a larger radius corner, than this will probably work fine for you. I ended up returning it.

This is a the second purchase of this item. It became necessary to get a second Slot Punch for handle more badges at my company. Works great for a manual slot punch. Some -- not excessive 'elbow grease' is need to operate this item. I call it desk exercise.

We make ID badges and need to cut the slots for the clips. This works great, and also is handy for the weird "one-off" sizes I have to trim from our standard blanks sometimes. The slide isn't the greatest but overall it's a good product. Fairly pricey though, but all the others are either more expensive or junk. I've tried several.

I was in a critical need of a hard to find Slot Punch device and when I found this one advertised through Amazon I was happy to find it of course, but didn't realize how valuable it would turn out to be in that the added features, the round hole punch, and corner rounder came in so handy as well. Having all of this in one unit has made this one of the best purchases in office ware that I have made in a long time.

Good product I just misunderstood All it’s functions and I needed it to cut a little deeper than it was designed for but I tried it out and it worked very good as advertised I would recommend this product all functions worked well
