2" by 7" (or 14"if you measure all around). Then it stretches very well to 11" or 22" all around). It fits very well on the head.

Q: Is it washing machine safe? If not, how do you wash them?

Yes they are. I wash them in a mesh bag by themselves. I ensure there are no other items in the washer that can snag on them (my bras or anything with velcro, etc.)

Q: Does this have elastic to keep it comfortably tight on your forehead?

Very uncomfortable. My grandson wore them once they increased his sweating and gave him a headache: They were too tight for his head - my grandson is a normal sized 6-yr old!! We ended up using them to for stretching exercises
