Haunted Route 66

Being a Paranormal Investigator for 31 years, and planning a trip on 66 in about 3 years– the title caught my eye. Though well written with a nice cover, it doesn't have hardly JACK about Rt. 66!!! I was VERY disappointed! We both thought when we saw it on Amazon that we could use it as a sort of "guide" to use to check out spots along the route that were supposedly haunted or have anomalies. Nope! Maybe a couple of locations in the book were on or kind of close to our 66 trip... But most were a good piece or WAY out of the way. I don't know if this author used the title to interest people in the States that it went through, or as a ploy to sell the book. But, I wish this person would have titled it "Haunted Places That Are a Long Way From Rt.66" or "Haunted Stories Of The States Rt. 66 Runs Through". Nice paranormal stories that I've read about before. But not really about the "Mother Road". 🤨

A nice collection of second hand anecdotes that have absolutely nothing to do with Route 66. The only relationship to Route 66 are the States Route 66 traverses. One would be better advised to read the ghost story books for each state. I expected at least one story akin to the Beatrice (Nebraska) phantom/specter. In any case I was very disappointed, not a single tale about abandoned motels or tourist attractions along Route 66.

The author gives the reader the backstory of locations and buildings as well as some of the ghostly origins .

This book was shorter than I hoped for. It would be a great book to inform someone taking a trip on route 66 where ghosts have been seen and a little information about the spirits.

Tells you places that could be found haunted on route 66 . In the eight states. I highly recommend it for all ages.

This book capitalizes on the Route 66 name but doesn't stay focused. Traveling away from Route 66 across a state for ghost stories should be in a ghosts of the state book.
