Amazon Renewed is good value
the Lenovo Ideapad Chromebook is better than expected, and the Amazon Renewed quality is great, so it is a good upgrade to my Lenovo Android tablet, and a good price. Unfortunately, it did not come with the USB-C to 4mm headphone connector which is always in the box from Lenovo. Bonus: the two Android apps that I use most often run just fine, and let me use the Chromebook without an internet connection. There is a learning curve to Chrome OS, and Lenovo does not provide much help there, but there are lots of other resources.

Nice for light browsing.
I needed a small device for browing the internet and writing emails when didn't want to be in front of computer. I had used a 7" nexus tablet from 2012, but was getting long in the tooth. This replaced it and for me has worked well. Kinda like chrome OS and the fact can get many android apps. The case/stand comes apart which I knew going in and has not been an issue, but if you think you will use it on your lap like a laptop, think again. It will need to be on a table or desk.

Chromebook Lenovo Duet (Renewed)
The media could not be loaded. First things first, this is my first Chromebook purchase for testing,i wanted to see how Chrome OS has advanced and probably not going to use this tablet as my main work platform when i'm on the road traveling. And this is also my first "Renewed" purchase from Amazon.I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE as my main travel companion when im on the road for my needs that include:- watch downloaded videos or YouTube- opening word/excel documents for reading or editing- read pdf files and sign pdf documents for work- download music and videos- facebook, amazon, gmail...Unboxing of the Lenovo Duet Renewed by Amazon:I received the tablet in a generic brown box, tablet was stuffed in a plastic shock absorbing cushion. The tablet came with keyboard case, usb-c adaptor for audio, usb charger.Charger, usb-c cable, usb-c adaptor where new, wrapped in its original plastic. The tablet came already with keyboard case connected and an applied foil by their refurbishing service.Initially the tablet would not power on, found out that the battery was completely drained to 0% and beyond. So i had to wait 4 hours to get it fully charged from this state before i could do anything. No scratches, no spots or marks where visible that the tablet was ever used so i was satisfied !After powering the tablet on i was greeted with an error message "Chrome OS not found"... after a little google search i managed to fix this with a reset and shortly after i was greeted with instructions to set up the tablet. The setup process is fairly easy and fast, after the setup i opened the terminal to check out if the battery was still new condition using the following commands:Launch the Chrome OS developer shell by pressing CTRL + ALT + T keysType 'battery test' and hit Enter, my battery was 99.55% health (new)Second thing i did was check ChromeOS version, which was outdated (still same version of the first release of the Lenovo Duet)So i guess the tablet was really good as new since the previous person who sent it back to Amazon did not even install or update the software. When i started the update i took 12 hours or more to complete the update and needed a manual reboot !So be warned the update process is painstaking slow !Since the tablet came without a pen, i ordered a USI Stylus on Amazon which is compatible with the Lenovo Duet (still waiting for the pen)I tried to use the tablet without keyboard cover but found out that the touchscreen was barely responsive to my touches (see my video)So im not sure if this is a hardware or software problem and i'm not sure how this will affect the stylus when i receive it.The problem seem to come and go, for now i just use the keyboard.Battery on regular use seem to fall down quickly when watching youtube to 3.3 hours left from 10 hours left.Software does a great job on handling multi windows (less sloppy than Samsung DEX on high end tablets)The Lenovo Duet has only 1 USB-C port, you can use for charging or USB memory, you can use a hub to increase the port number just like any other tablet if needed. However the tablet comes with 64GB and only 45GB is usable because ChromeOS takes 19GBThere is no memory card expansion slot or MicroSD card slot...Screen is very sharp, bright and clear, audio is pretty good coming from the speakers.Overal, knowing that this is an older model it really is a sharp looking tablet but...regardless its age, Lenovo should have included a a MicroSD slot !ChromeOS is slow and buggy in updating the OS and software, it takes waaay to long. The keyboard is very responsive and wonderful to type on even for its size. And as im typing this watching youtube on the Lenovo Duet, the battery estamination went to 4.4 hours. The newer Lenovo Duet is very had to get and since Lenovo makes it almost impossible to get it i wont be buying any more Chromebooks for now, and for my personal use i think i stick just with Samsung higher end tablets for traveling.I'll be using the Lenovo Duet for testing and watching youtube when im working at home. But if you are on a tight budget, this tablet comes with a very good keyboard case and can be used with stylus. You will receive a few years more updates unlike Android tablets.Edit;Today I received my USI stylus, purchased from Amazon....Touchscreen seem to work perfectly with the pen, so I guess the issues I'm experiencing with the touchscreen are software based.I attached 2 photos with the pen in action. The USI stylus is pressure sensitive and the tablet adds an icon to the bottom for stylus functions when you use the pen for the first time.
