Q: Do you have to cut wires to install or does it just plug into something?

Not cut but tap— if you want it to be synchronized to the brakes and signal lights. I tapped it on the brakes to make the mechanism simple and hopefully extend the lifespan of the product. Plus, when driving at night usually drivers notice your signal light as you are able to signal from further out. But brakes usually only have a limited time and yet the bike slows down continually. So consider the usage as well.

Q: 2007 Honda Cbr1000rr. I have blinkers and running light, but as soon as i hook up the brake light, the helmet lights get bright and nothing works.

I am not sure how you hooked them up, but that should not happen. You may need to have your mechanic hook them up correctly
