The locket opens by inserting your thumb nail into the dip at the side and pushing. Place some drops of your chosen essential oil onto the pad that you wish to use and insert it into the locket – the amount of essential oil is a personal choice, just experiment to find the degree of scent that works for you. Smell!
I LOVE this necklace! I put a few drops of peppermint essential oil in it and I swear it lasts all day while I'm at work. I'm a nurse so I need something to keep my head clear and alert. This is perfect. The only thing, I may change out the chain, it starting to get that gross pewter smell... I thought the chain was stainless steel but I'm not so sure now :(. Oh well. Thanks for the awesome pendant!

Stunning Aromatherapy Necklace diffuser, hypoallergenic 316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel. Elegant jewelry which is an aromatherapy diffuser. Have the benefit of your essential oil wherever you are! I use essential oils and have bought several different pieces of jewelry designed to hold and diffuse them throughout the day. Until now, I've been consistently disappointed. Either they don't have enough vents to allow the oils to circulate, or they are made from something that makes my neck turn green, or they don't stay closed and next thing I know, I've got an oily felt disk on my silk skirt...I'm sure I'm not telling you anything new. If you use essential oils, you've tried as many different necklaces as I have.I was offered a chance to try this one at a discounted price, and even so I was tempted to pass it up. But the fact that it is made of our hypoallergenic stainless steel caught my eye. At least it wouldn't turn my neck green! Worth a try, I decided, and a couple of days later, it arrived. Standard cardboard jewelry box, suitable for gifting. The necklace was nicely secured inside. A separate plastic bag holds three felt discs, two whites and one black.The leafy tree portion of the pendant is about an inch across. All around the edge are fully faceted crystals, so it has a lot of sparkle on -- much more than I had expected. These sparkle as brightly as many of my CZs. It hangs from a centered bezel on an 18 inch chain with a bead stationed every 1.5 inches. Lobster claw clasp at the back. This is a substantial piece of jewelry --- not like the other flimsy aroma therapy pendants I tried! And it looks both elegant and expensive when worn. The magnet closure on the locket is strong! I have no worries about finding an oil-soaked felt in my lap ever again! The back is glass, so you get the full color of whatever disc you're using.There is enough openwork in the design on the front to let the benefits of the oils escape, yet the scents don't become overpowering. I am finding that different oils last different lengths of time, so you'll have to experiment with whatever you use to find the best techniques for you. For an overnight trip, I used the two white discs and was surrounded by my sweet orange oil the whole time I was gone. And just about everyone commented on my lovely pendant!The quality of this necklace, and the fact that it's made of hospital-grade stainless steel, makes me very comfortable purchasing it as a gift for friends, particularly those with sensitivities to lesser metals. I think it will make a great Christmas gift!As I noted, I received this necklace at a discount in return for a honest and unbiased review.

Sparkle and aromatherapy, brilliant idea...
Sparkling crystals surround a tree of life in this very pretty yet functional aromatherapy pendant necklace. The clasp on the pendant is a magnet that functions perfectly. Three felt disc are included for your essential oils. I am impressed by the high quality surgical steel and the overall look of my pendant and I love the little beads on the chain. This can be dressy or casual and will last a long time. Some may want a longer chain, (the one included rest on my collar bone); I liked the length. This would make a great birthday or graduation present, however it would be very hard not keeping it for yourself! I received this at a discount for my honest and unbiased review. This aromatherapy necklace is stunning! I was looking for a good quality aromatherapy necklace that was a safer alternative to wearing perfume while also looking fashionable. I MUST SAY, this necklace was so much nicer quality than I even imagined! The chain and locket are definitely made from good quality material that has the potential to last for a long time. No part of this necklace looks or feels cheap. When I opened up the box I was shocked by the overall appearance and by how much nicer it was than I was expecting.The locket is easy to open and has magnets for a good closure and assurance that it remains closed unless opened. The locket has a beautiful design of a tree on the front. The back is glass, and see through which adds a wonderful elegant touch. The chain itself is strong and not flimsy in any way. Very well-made.I mostly wanted this product as a safe alternate to wearing perfume. Which is full of harsh chemicals and unsafe toxins. Also with aromatherapy, I can add whichever drops of essential oil to fit my mood or to give me some much needed relaxation with me wherever I may go!This necklace came with pads to place the drops of oil and put inside the locket. Both black and white. So they may be interchangeable with any outfit!
