I live in area that uses well water. Since the water contains no chlorine, black mold has a tendency to grow in the toilet tank. These Ty-D-Bol tank tablets prevent the mold from developing/growing as well as keep the bowl sparkling clean. I chose this particular one as they don’t contain any bleach or blue color that could harm the septic system. There is a mild pleasant sent and last approximately one month in a household of two adults. It’s difficult to find toilet tank tablets that work and at the same time will not damage septic tanks but these tablets work exactly as described. Will definitely continue to buy!

We have a septic system and I needed a non bleach cleaner for a little used guest bathroom. I thoroughly cleaned the toilet and back tank and then added the Ty-D-Bol tablet as directed. It removed the existing hard water ring in the bowl and is keeping g it fresh and clean. I am extremely happy with this purchase!

This product only lasted for 18 days, and they're expensive at close to five dollar a piece. I like the product and it doesn't smell. I have problems with chemical scents, but the fact that they don't last and they're high priced is very frustrating.

These are pricey but worth the money - as they don't have bleach, which is next to impossible to find. Our plumber told us that tabs with bleach, whether they're in sitting in the tank or hanging from bowl rim, eats away at the toilet's rubber seals. Once those seals start to fail, you have to remove the entire toilet (!) from the floor (no, thank you) to replace the seals bec they'll leak -- both onto the bathroom floor and (and) UNDER the floor. So, ensure you purchase anything that's going to hang around inside your toilet OR the tank WITHOUT BLEACH. He said it's okay to CLEAN with a bleach product bec you're not leaving it soak.

I am VERY impressed that these tablets held up to the same quality as Clorox tablets, but without the bleach smell!! I had to try something new and I’m glad I found these. I no longer have to smell bleach with these tablets after flushing the toilet. I noticed that these tablets don’t last as long as Clorox tablets, but these Ty-D tablets are well worth it to avoid the bleach smell. The toilet bowl has been clean of stains for the entire life of the tablet in the tank. Definitely recommend!!

The product description claims it is "odor-free". This is not true. It is in fact highly perfumed-- it hits you even before opening the individual tablets. If you like to bring perfumed scents into your house, it may not bother you. But ifyou don't, or have a sensitivity to them, I recommend you avoid this product. The one star is based entirely on the fact that the description is * false*.

It's great to find a toilet bowl cleaner & freshener that works without bleach, dyes, and doesn't turn the water blue. There's a water soluble wrap around the tablet so it doesn't come in contact with your skin. Works great for homes homes with hard water. Thanks!

I bought because it says no bleach; which you don't want to use with a septic tank. I found it really doesn't clean anything. The one good thing is the water in the toilet will be soapy and you can use it to clean the toilet with a brush.
