Maxpedition Micro Pocket Organizer

Great EDC pack. I carry mostly backup type stuff in here... spare batteries for the flashlight, point and shoot camera, extra pen, a little first aid stuff, that kind of thing. It is pretty durable, and although I've only had it for a few months, I can't detect any signs of wear on it at all. It goes on the motorcycle with me, in the car, to work and in the boat. It's small enough to fit in a cargo pocket, a little too large for jeans. It would be nice if the elastic was a little tighter, but that and the fact that it has no belt clip provision are my only two complaints, and the reasons for 4 stars out of 5. What can I say... in the words of Abe, "People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like". An excellent choice. Update: After carrying this everywhere for the last year, I have upgraded it to 5 stars. What I carry in it has kind of stabilized, and I still don't leave home without it. I had to replace the zipper pull because it kept untying. The sides have softened up somewhat, but no signs of weakening in the stitching or zipper. It's amazing what you can fit in this if you try. It holds a Victorinox Super Tinker, Streamlight Microstream, AAA battery, RCR123A battery, 18650 battery, eye drops, Fisher Space Pen (full size won't fit), mini Sharpie, mini bic, two aluminum pill bottles heat shrunk together... one with allergy meds and pills, the other a spare set of ear plugs, spare memory cards and adapters, band-aids, neosporin and alcohol swabs. All that fits with a little room to spare, and I usually manage to stuff a spare camera battery, ear buds or a portable charger in there when I need it. I still hold to what I said, a little large for jean pockets, works well in a cargo pocket or jacket pocket. It always lives in my lunch bag at work, center console in the car or truck, side jacket pocket on the bike. I originally removed a star for loose elastic and lack of belt provision. I no longer feel the need to wear it on a belt, so that's eliminated as a concern, and while I used to think the elastic was too loose, I have found that it reliably holds on to items when they are organized correctly. The elastic also hasn't gotten stretched out or lost it's elasticity. I have tried 3 other organizers since, thinking I wanted more space, but every time I return to this one. It seems like if I have the space, I fill it with stuff I don't use. This seems to be just the right size for me.

I was looking for something to organise the things I carry in my messenger bag, but I didn't want it to take up more space than the tools do on their own, so I gave the Micro a try. This thing holds a lot of stuff for the size. It is constructed very well and even when jammed full, it is holding up very well. I liked it so much that I ordered another one to use as a wallet and to hold all the other stuff I keep in my pockets. It fits nicely in a pocket on cargo pants or shorts, I don't think I would want to put it in a back pocket or in jeans. The one I use as a wallet I use a money clip to hold my folding money, my debit card and my gas card clipped in the outside mesh pocket. On the inside I carry: a Fisher space pen Streamlight Microstream A Gerber EAB lite utility knife 3 ft of Gorilla tape wrapped around a plastic card 6 band aids, 2 alcohol swabs, 2 wet ones Drivers license, and 4 other ID/store cards At first I had a lot more in this but it holds so much it can get a little heavy in your pocket if you stuff in as much as it will hold. In the one I keep in my bag, and this one I loaded up, I have: a Fisher Space pen a Stream light Microstream A Gerber EAB utility knife Swiss Army Cyber tool (this is one of the larger SAKs) a full size Bic lighter small memo pad (I tried a fieldnotes pad but it is to large a 3X5 pad just barely fits) A Pocket Wrench II (love this tool, but it's a bit heavy) It definitely has room to hold a few more things without over taxing it. I like that all my tools etc are in one place and I can pull this out without having to dig through my bag to find the tool I need at the time. I am very happy with these little organisers and will be buying another one to set up as a personal first aid kit, one to keep all my chargers and cords in and I am considering setting some up to give as gifts. Lots of possibilities with this great product.

A few random thoughts: 1) Arrived without the "dead mouse" smell others reported. 2) A couple reviewers reported that a Moleskine Cahier notepad could fit, but it can't without bending the corners quite a bit and squishing it into the pocket. An extra small 2.5"x4" Moleskine Classic or Volant does work though (even in the small mesh pouch in the front). 3) The interior "MAXPEDITION AMERICAN DESIGN MADE IN TAIWAN" label on the inside of the pouch is perfect for holding a AAA battery or tube-type whistle, and it is high enough (and away from the other contents) that it doesn't add any more bulk. 4) Standard wallet picture pockets fit perfectly in interior sleeves and works perfectly for storing Band-Aids, floss packets, lip ointment packets, Neosporin packets, magnifier lens card, photos, etc.., etc.. Saw this idea on a video review and thought I'd give it a try. Works incredibly well! Mods that worked for me: Because most of the items that i want to store inside the Micro are pretty short (length of Bic Mini), the organizer was extra bulky in the middle (with plenty of wasted space at the top and bottom). I cut the right side (liner and elastic) out of mine and then sewed (not pretty, but effective) 4 elastic loops vertically at the bottom of the right side. This allows me to store a AAA flashlight w/ extra battery, pill fob, and duck tape rolled around itself (think size of AA battery) horizontally (and underneath the items on the left side.) I also couldn't find any real purpose for the front mesh pocket so I cut it off as well. I then couldn't help myself and cut off the exterior large loop handle (which could be used on a belt, but I would never use it as such). I kind of figured I'd regret that last one, but the paracordish zipper pull is perfect to use as a grip to retrieve organizer out of pocket. I did keep the interior right-side loop which I attached a Nite-Ize S-Biner to that makes a great attachment point for a house key, thin twine, etc. I know those mods seems like a lot of trouble,but I really wanted something that would utilize my full front pocket without being too bulky and this organizer is absolutely the perfect height and width to do so. Without the mods, you definitely could use the organizer in pretty much any pants (jeans included), and I did for a few weeks, but I never quite got used to having it there. Now, I really do forget that I have it in my pocket and I'm totally amazed at all the extras that I used not to take that I do now all of the time.

I bought the Micro and the Mini to store a small camping fire kit. Ultimately neither were large enough, but I kept them around for other uses. Currently, this Micro serves as my writing kit and it's excellent for the job. It's large enough to hold a number of pens and markers, 20+ 3x5 index cards and a small 3x5 spiral notebook. It's small enough to fit just about anywhere in a bag and the large grab loop makes it easy to retrieve. It would make for a good small first aid or boo-boo kit. The only real con, to me, is the lack of a velcro field for patches: I like to use patches or nametapes to identify my organizers so I know what is in them at a glance. The Micro is the only Maxpedition organizer that does not have one. Other than that this is a great piece of kit. A note about counterfeit products: There are concerns about Amazon selling fake Maxpedition products, due to some of the photos shown above. The original stock photos show a tag saying Made in Taiwan, while many people (myself included) have received pouches made in Vietnam. So, I called Maxpedition about it. I explained that I was concerned about it being a fake, but as I bought it from Amazon LLC, not a vendor, maybe I had gotten some new old stock. I explained that my 3-year-old Fatboy says "Hard Use Gear" on the front and had a tag that said Made In Taiwan. They said that they are currently, as of 2016, producing pouches and bags in Vietnam and that they no longer say "Hard Use Gear" on the front. I was told that Amazon buys directly from Maxpedition so there is no chance I got a fake. When I commented that the pouch I have does not look quite like the one on Maxpedition's website, she said the photos were out of date. This is just what they look like now. She told me if anyone has questions or concerns about having received a fake, send photos to [email protected] and they'll let you know if it's real.

Bought this to carry and store a small power bank and charging cord for travel and home. Fits perfectly. Very sturdy, built like a tank but very light. This is my second one and will buy more.

Works great in front pocket of jeans for carrying some basic first aid gear. If fully packed out its bulky in a pocket but that was just when I wanted to see how much I could cram in it. But not bulky at all with just things like some band aids, a roll of gauze, some cleanng wipes/ointment and some self sticking gauze wrapped up around business card to help with larger cuts. A bit on the small side if you're looking to put a portable charger in it, jump up to the mini or edc pouch for that, but then youre getting too large for pocket carry.

There are plenty of pocket organizers out there but Maxpedition won my trust when it comes to storing my EDC. And the Micro pocket organizer didn’t disappoint. Small enough to put in your pocket/cargo or just throw it in your backpack. The build quality is great, value excellent and will last you for years.

I have the larger maxpedition EDC which I use for storage, but needed something more compact for out and about note taking. You really can't beat maxpedition, though I did still look around. Was worried a bit size wise but I shouldn't have been. My minimalist needs fitted perfectly. Terrific VFM. And I know it will last.

Slipped in a pen, leatherman juice, victorinox climber. Measuring tape, usb cable. With band aid and ninja wallet on the front mesh pocket.

キャンプ用の小物を収納するにあたって色々なものを試しましたが、ようやく自分にとっての最適解が見つかった気がします。 もちろん、これよりも少ない量（火回りが不要だったり）や多い量（主に着火剤とか？）を持って行くために足し引きすることもありますが、これが取り敢えずひとまとめにする基本サイズです。 縫い目がほつれたり、生地が破けたりすることも今のところなく、多少乱暴に扱っても大丈夫なようです。 また、何気にフロントのメッシュと、内部の大きめなポケットが色々と格納してくれます。 色々入れるともちろんズッシリしますが、やりすぎない限り形を維持してくれます。この大きさであればリュックにポン入れをしてもそこまで存在感はないです。 参考までに写真では、フロントポケットにはVictorinoxの小型SAK、マッチ、着火用のカプセルを。内部左側はVictorinoxのナイフシャープナー、KnipexのCobra XS、フェロセリウムロッド、火吹き棒、小型ストライカーを、右側にはSOTOのライター、ナイフ（写真はBuck112ですが、RAT-2やVictorinox Huntsman、Skeletool CXとか気分で変えます）、Vargoの風防、麻縄と短いファットウッド、という感じで入ってます。 場合によってはエバニューの五徳などもフロント入れたりします。

It is Maxpedition so well-made with a YKK zip that allows the pouch to open fully. It is the smallest pouch that Maxpedition make and it does fit in the back pocket of jeans, etc. So it is very portable. The comfort really depends on what is inside the pouch. Provided it’s not overloaded with kit it’s comfortable but if it’s packed with items that make the middle bulge then it’s not as comfortable. Mine currently holds a small notepad, a space pen, a small pencil, a Leatherma Micra, a pair of Tweezers, a torch, a mini- first aid kit with alcohol wipe/steristrips/liquid skin/plaster/aborbent pad/micropore tape, a Camper Swiss Army knife, a card multi-tool, a credit-card sized fresnel magnifier and a compressed microfibre towel that has a multitude of uses from a cooling cloth to a sling or as a towel. The pouch remains slim and comfortable to carry but holds anything I might need to cover normal-life problems and I still have to carry other items if needed. Is it good value for money? It is expensive for what it is but I think the build quality justifies the price. For me it was worth it.

Jag ville ha någonstans att hålla saker organiserade som jag alltid har med mig i bilen såsom multiverktyg, små första hjälpenartiklar, penna, ficklampa etc. Den lilla storleken gör den även perfekt att förflytta mellan bilen, väskan, fickan etc. önskar bara att det var molle på baksidan så den gick att fästa på utsidan av ryggsäcken.
