EVEREADY 6V Lantern Battery 1209 (Pack of 3)

Okay for the big dumpy flashlights that I leave scattered about for emergency's. These batteries hold their charge for quite a long time. Had these in some flashlights that I had stashed in my garage for about a year and a half. They still worked, albeit a little dimmer and after some hours of use they died, but pretty good for emergency purposes. So Ill replace them with these and toss them back in their hole and check them in about a year.Now for the NOT Okay. These are terrible for a deer feeder/wildlife feeder/corn flinger/whatever you want to call it. I replace the far more expensive name brand battery that died in my feeder with one of these thinking I may have to replace it sooner...boy was I right! It too about a week for me to replace it. Not because it ran low on charge but because it did not have to output to operate the feeder properly. Normally my feeder will run for 6-8 seconds three times a day dispersing about 50lbs of feed in about a week. I checked my feeder at then end of the first week and it was still full. Replaced with a better battery and it is running as it should now. Even tried this battery in an old camp fan that has a light on it. Fan was anemic and the light was dim with both on. Will only buy these for flashlights in the future. Anything that has a moderate power draw is useless with these batteries.

My husband uses his large flashlight a great deal and buying the three (3) pack is money saving except for one problem. One of the batteries was not useable because the black plastic top was not attached to the battery. Seems like a rather big issue to me. Certainly defective and possibly a safety issue.

The product is very good. This is a rewite of my first review, The three stars is for delivery never paying attention to delivery instructions to a handicapped home.

This product was a good value for the money. I t works well in all my flashlights. Bought them to update lanterns for emergency use like the hurricanes etc
