These split my dust collector and work as expected.

Quality is good. Thickness is fine. Size of inlet is ok but the two outlets are too big to except the hose from my Ridged shop vac

When you decide to create a dust collection system, be prepared to pay through the nose for all the associated parts and components. Yes... all the POWERTEC items work well together, but are WAY to expensive when compared to similar plumbing parts. If the high price were not enough, they apply obnoxious, giant stickers to virtually every item which requires a heat gun to remove.

I used it as a Y on my shop vac to go to two tools worked good and needed some duct tape

I wanted to split the hose from my vacuum so I could have my table saw and miter saw attached to the vaccum all the time. Although this conector doesn't really fit on a standard size vaccumm hose. I had to heat it up to make it soft so it could expand and fit the vaccum. Still it didnt work, the vaccum loses power when splitting the hoses .

I used it to setup a dust collection system because I am a big boy wood worker now and decided to actually build a good workshop. Fit tubes well and decently thick

I tried using these pop-in hose/dust fitting holders to the underside on my basement rafters. They don't provide the necessary holding power in this application in my opinion. But I suspect they weren't intended for underside mounting anyway. On a horizontal surface they work just fine. so I'm giving them 5 stars anyway because the use I had in mind is my fault, not Powertec's.
