I purchased these as a replacement for some I bought 5 years ago. I have an outdoor fountain that had regular tiles and had to replace them with these. They lasted for 5 years and the fountain was in the weather 365 days a year. They are attractive, easy to work with and come in 12"x12" squares with 1" tiles. They are funtional and cut easily around areas by cutting the webbing the tiles are attached to. I used tile cement to attach to the fountain and what can I say 5 years is pretty darn good. p.s. After working with these tiles I discovered they are not 1 inch square, but closer to 7/8".

I am obsessed with these tiles. I ordered several boxes and have zero complaints. I used them for my kitchen backsplash/wall and they are beautiful. They are much thinner than other backsplash tiles and probably a little more fragile, so I'm not sure if you could use a tile saw with them. I used a glass nipper to cut them, and a dremel to file/smooth them to the size/shape I needed. It took a long time, but the end results were totally worth it!

Ok look we’re no experts. But we did our best and it’s a vast improvement from before. We use mussel bound sheets underneath the tile after priming and smoothing the wall. Then attached the sheets (some grout lines are bigger than others because attaching perfectly was hard. Note that all the shapes are naturally imperfect and not flat, it is real shell. Which kinda makes the shapes more forgiving, but definitely not for you if you’re looking for perfectly square tiles) We used an eggshell maipei grout and it looks beautiful. I noticed some of the tiles unattached from the mesh backing and ended up sealing somewhat crooked in the grout but oh well. No one else notices. I still need to use an impregnator sealer but the final look is fresh and beautiful. Photos are pre-grout.

I absolutely love this tile! It was significantly cheaper than any of the other mother of pearl tiles I saw online and in person. I had ordered a sample of one that was more than twice the price, and the quality of the shell was identical on this and the more expensive tile. The mesh can be cut with regular scissors, making it easy for even a novice like me to DIY. I found it hard to cleanly cut the tile chips themselves (tried a couple of different glass and tile nippers and a dremel), but was able to get around this by cutting a few single rows/columns of tile and adjusting the spacing a bit where needed. Because of all of the different tones and light reflection, this tile is pretty forgiving when it comes to small shifts like this. It is even prettier in person than in pictures! I included a few different lighting examples in my pics to demonstrate how the shimmer changes depending on how the light hits it. I couldn't be happier with my new backsplash, and would highly recommend this tile to anyone. Excellent value and quality, and it's very easy to work with.

Just pulled this out of my mailbox. Single sheet in a white mailing bag with no added support to prevent breaking or damage. 25 pieces of tile are off the mesh backing and add’l fell off when I held the tiles up. Ideally the design I would want but unfortunately not this design

These tiles are pretty, good quality, and very easy to work with. I was able to cut one 12" square tile into three, 2" strips by cutting the mesh backing with a razor. I also had a curved corner to fit, which was simple to sand to the correct size with a dremel. I did try using a cutter, but one of the tiles chipped even when being careful and making small cuts; the dremel worked much better. I used Red Devil 0497 Tile Paste Adhesive for this small job, so we'll see how it dries and holds over time. And I used a typical DAP bathroom caulk. So far I'm very happy with the result.

Very pretty but very thin. I was hoping to install behind my wood stove but this just will not do. Thankfully I only purchased a sample.

Yes, it is very thin tile, but very easy to install. We used white compound for natural stone, applied very thin layer and used flat tool to make sure the entire tile surface is glued to the wall. Very easy to cut, if you need a full pieces. But if you need a half of the small tile chip, we used a table sander. We ordered some extra, just in case, because it was a new material for us. Eventually we had to return 2 full boxes back. The shipping cost was pretty reasonable by considering it is a little heavy return, since it is considered as a tile. Out of $140 cost of 2 boxes, we got $136 money back with no problem. I did communicate with the seller regarding the return and he was very responsive and assured us that we can do the return. Over all, it is very beautiful and very unique tile for the great price. I am very happy we bought it. My Powder Room looks amazing, even much better then on the picture.

I wanted to like this to apply on my bathroom mirror frame to dress it up but it just looked like a hack job and “cheap.” Ended up removing and reframing the mirror with a nice wood. You cannot easily cut the tiles if the measures aren’t perfect.

I love this tiles. The came in perfect condition, they did not came off the mesh during installation. I used it on my fire place, I did not need to cut the tiles which make the work easy. Did not try it with fire place on yet.
