I have an RO system with low water pressure so the tank never gets filled. Will this help? Thanks!

I know this is old but I recently bought the item and read this question. Short answer yes. It'll allow more than the 40% of water inlet pressure into the tank without the use of the auto shut off that usually including. Now tds creep. If your only filling a glass you will have tds creep and end up having to empty the whole tank as pressure and membranes and science and stuff it just doesn't filter right. If your draining alot each time and the system has to run long enough to get to full pressure in the membrane then it's not a problem. If you want faster water go for the 3/8" upgrade kit. If you want a more water you can add a 2nd tank. The first comment about it being to reduce waste is accurate,it's also good for auto ice maker applications. After reading and watching some video I will be using mine with the auto shut off to avoid tds creep so it won't be filling the tank any fuller than normally but will reduce stress on the system making the membrane last longer and reduced waste
