Epare vs Bodum vs Jocobi -- Epare wins
Epare 12oz is the winner for me. All three mugs are good looking. Without testing it, I think they all retain heat about the same. The Bodum Bistro feels the best in my hand, is much heavier, but holds less and costs much more than the Epare and the Jocobi. The Bodum were my first of these and I promptly "tossed" one in the sink when it slipped out of my hand. Note that I did not just drop it, I slammed it into the sink. It broke and I figured that at $33 a pair, I should look at other options. The Epare 12 oz were discounted and I liked the idea of an extra two ounces so that a full cup is not so close to the brim. These are lighter than the Bodum but do not feel too light. Wanted to add two more mugs, I tried the Jocobi. They are the lowest price point of these three options. They are by far the lightest. They do not feel as nice, or as high quality, when in your hand. And they are also only 10oz like the Bodum but seem to hold a tiny bit less. The photos with coffee in the mugs all have exactly 10 oz of coffee. So, even the 10oz mugs hold a bit more than 10 oz. After a few weeks of owning all three, I find I reach for the Epare and the Bodum every morning. If money was not an issue, I'd suggest the Bodum if you are OK with a slightly smaller mug. IMO, the Epare is the best mug for overall value. Great quality feel, size, and looks.

Superb, better than restaurant quality!
Finally have a reason to be thankful my friend breaks my glassware every time she comes over (hopefully these mugs can stand up to her heavy hand). I needed a couple of mugs to replace my generic drug store mugs that my friend broke so I decided to treat myself to these glass mugs after reading the description and the mostly positive reviews. Also, I purchased the elite-ish Ninja bar and wanted some kind of fancy mugs to go with it without breaking the bank. Boy if these Epare coffee cups weren't the perfect match for my picky demands. They arrived perfectly package and are just stunning. A bit bigger than your average coffee cup, which I like. Honestly I was going to wait to test out my Ninja Coffee Bar but I so eager to test out these cups that I opened everything tonight and gave it a test run. The cups do retain heat much better than any coffee cup I've ever used. Beyond that, presentation is everything. They make a stellar looking cappuccino. I'd buy them again. In fact, I definitely will buy them again. I could use two more. Forget two, I swear I'm going to dispose of all my little itty bitty cups that came with my dining set and replace them with this Epare insulated coffee cup awesomeness. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Great holiday gifts, guys. Sure to please!

Very durable, but the base is unfinished and the inside gets condensation
Got these after breaking a glass mug. These do the job, they're easy to hold, and the double-wall keeps them from being hot to the touch on the outside. Plus they're quite durable. They also work well with the loose-tea baskets that I already had and used with the previous glass mugs, which was very important to me for brewing and steeping loose tea (mostly what I use these for in the afternoon. This would have been 5-stars, but... The bottom of each mug has a cut mark from where the glass was blown and cut, so no effort was made on these to smooth out the spot on the surface other than make sure the glass would rest properly on a flat surface. UPDATE: I've had these for about 10 months now. Within the first 6 months, we began noticing that condensation builds inside the inner and outer wall of the double-layer. It doesn't impact the tea or flavor, but even long after they've been used, cleaned and set on a shelf in a dry place, the condensation remains. So when you order and receive these, keep in mind that condensation will likely build up because of the 2-layer construction. Also, the glass becomes very hot to touch accidentally if you grab the sides rather than the handle. So while this may be termed as a "double-wall", it's not airtight enough that condensation won't seep through. In the future, I might spend the extra money for a Bodum, but these are fine in a pinch. UPDATE #2: Finally tired of the condensation problem with these. I changed my rating from 3 to 1 because I cannot recommend them with the way they create condensation between the layers. Now thrown them out. You might be satisfied with them if you can overlook seeing as much liquid between the layers as you can in the cup, but they're now more expensive than the price I paid, and I was on the fence based on the old pricing. Spend the extra money for a Bodum that will likely last much longer without that issue.

Did not hold well in the Dishwasher and warranty not honored
Update July 6, 2020 This is an update revising 2 star with 4. Now that the seller heard me of my warranty claim and sent me the replacements which I received last Friday, I am revising their ratings. The mugs are indeed great, just be gentle on handling and I hope the seller will be prompt in respecting the warranty. June 23, 2020 They are nice mugs to keep your coffee warm as well as to enjoy the layers of espresso and froth on my favorite cappuccino and latte. The mug keeps it warm, a little delicate as they are not heavy, so you have to be extra careful on handling them. All well for 5 months then suddenly one broke inside the dishwasher. So, lesson learned but too late. However, they have the limited lifetime warranty, so I wrote to them. They quickly replied and asked to send few information, mailing address, and the photo, which I sent them promptly. That is it. It is now over one month since I provided all the info, there is a radio silence from their side. I wrote a follow-up, still no news. Then, I resubmitted the warranty claim, and it was the repeat of the episode, they asked to send the info, address, and photo. Again, I sent them all, and that is it. So, don’t trust on their warranty. As long as you handle with care, these are good to use.

Very Nice Insulated Glass "Mugs"
I have been looking for some kind of insulated mug for my elderly mom. She has a hot drink a couple times a day, but tends to nurse it along slowly so it ends up being cold. We had a plastic cup (un-insulated) we used as it was lighter than a regular mug and durable. I looked at plastic insulated mugs but they were really clunky. I came across the Epare mugs and thought, "Geeze they are pricey, and they are glass (!)" so I was concerned about weight and durability. Went ahead and anyway and gave them a try. They are perfect for what we needed. The glass they are made of is one amazing product. They are surprising light weight (we needed light). The 12 oz size works well for us. The cup looks a bit bigger, but that's because of the double wall. We haven't dropped one yet, but they are dishwasher safe AND I can put it in the microwave so it's a win-win. Most important, Mom's tea or hot chocolate or whatever she has stays warm for her, but without the outside of the cup being hot. My sister wants a couple. ;- ) (Anyone know how they make these? They do look cool.)

DO NOT PURCHASE
These cups are complete GARBAGE!!! Condensation and water got trapped inside the both of them after only within a month’s use. I tossed out the first cup when that began happening, but then it happened with the second one as well. I only hand washed both of them too. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!

Very nice, but one of two had slight flaw that detracts from function/charm
These are excellent at retaining heat on inside & keeping outside cool (better than ceramic), and visually pleasing, but they seem to be hit-or-miss in quality control. Of the set of two I got nine months ago, and have been using since, we found almost immediately that one must have some very small breach in the glass, because after putting it in the dishwasher once or twice, a trace amount of water got inside, which is a (minor) detriment to the visual impact, and in addition now ever time we put it in the microwave in order to (near) boil water for tea, when we take it out we can hear the "gurgling hiss" of steam escaping through a very small opening. The effect on function is only slight (when heating in microwave only, the steam that builds up makes the outer glass noticeably warmer than the other mug is), but was a bit disappointing for a $30 product (why I have my "bar" for my rating higher than I might have it for a basic mug). The second mug is fine.

Beautiful! But conflicting information on care and durability.
Updating 4/8/17: My parents-in-law absolutely love these cups. They've been using them nearly daily since Christmas and they're constantly raving about them. Today they asked me where I got them because they want more. So I came to buy them another set. I don't know if they're treating them more gently than they would normal cups, but if they are treating them extra special and with extra care, they obviously feel it's worth it. I just received these mugs and they are really beautiful. There is conflicting information on the packaging about their durability, however. The outside of the package says, "Crafting from strong borosilicate makes these glasses thinner, lighter, capable of withstanding thermal shock, scratch and break resistant, as well as dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe." That all sounded perfect as I had purchased these as a gift for my elderly parents-in-law and didn't want them to have to worry about them being too delicate. However, when you open the box and look at the inside flap, it seems to contradict the outside information: "Take care when using ice cubes, we suggest pouring your desired liquid prior to adding ice. Avoid using metal utensils... Be gentle with these cups as the glass is thinner than a traditional cup which makes them more fragile." I fear this warning will dissuade them from using them with their daily tea (especially due to the "no metal utensils" warning), which was the purpose of my gift. How durable they are in practice remains to be seen. However, I may never truly get that answer because they may put them on a shelf and rarely touch them if they think they are too fragile.
