Pluto: fabula amoris

Fun Story for Intermediate Latin
Fun little story that is a good exercise for intermediate Latin readers. Advanced Latin readers might enjoy the story, but the grammar is more appropriate for readers with less skill. Develops grammar skills, expands vocabulary, and is a fun read.

Totally comprehensible Latin!
I studied Latin 45 years ago and was able to read this story with almost 100% comprehension. Footnotes and the glossary clarified my occasional question. What fun to be able to read a classic story in totally comprehensible Latin.

A great resource!
This is a great take on a well known myth. Clear Latin, easily accessible to late first year students, and with a unique voice and perspective that I think will speaks compelling,y to my students. So glad to have this resource!

Great story for end of year 1 beginning year 2
It's an interesting Romance told from both the hero and the heroine's point of view. It think you would enjoy reading it after you have read "Agrippina Mater Fortis", and "Livia Mater Eloquens", roughly end of year 1, beginning of year 2. ( a limitted vocabulary of 148 words with a total word count of 1114 ) It uses the present, imperfect and perfect, the occasional subjunctive, accusative plus the infinitive, and verbs tend to be at the end of the sentence. Macrons are not marked, which makes it a little slower going for those of us who are used to them (I just marked them all in my book, good practice). Watch out for sōlus, a, um alone and solum ground, floor. Jacobulus

This book changed my life
This book is truly one of a kind. Upon reading the words of Magistra Ash I was overwhelmed with emotion and power. This book actually made me turn into Pluto himself and I am so thankful for that. Godspeed

Testo semplicissimo, quasi banale, ma interessante e stimolante per giovanissimi principianti
Testo perfetto per bambini (minori di 10 anni) che iniziano a studiare Latino.Il testo è molto breve, un bambino lo legge e interpreta interamente in mezz'ora, un'ora. Si legge con piacere.Il mito è raccontato con stile delicato, presenta una storia d'amore che coinvolge sentimenti delicati, i bambini ci si possono addirittura identificare.Note in inglese sufficienti per agevolare la comprensione.
