Easy macro
I love this lens- I add it with the included squeeze clip to my Laowa 90 mm Dreamer to quickly change between magnifications. Lens cap is cheap and split but otherwise great.

This diopter lives up to the hype.
I am really enjoying the DCR-250. It gives new options on my 85mm 1:1 lens and macro auto-focus options on other lenses. I am suffering from too many choices. It is a nice position to be in. I am finding that I can take photos freehand with continous auto-focus on my 85mm auto-focus lens. The range is quite limited but enough to compensate for body motion. The photo is a match head sized Sweet William taken free hand.

It's definitely helps!
I use it with my Sony 90mm macro lens to give it more magnification and it definitely helps!

Can't go wrong with a Raynox DCR-250 2.5x
The Raynox DCR-250 2.5x is a nice (quality) addition for existing or new macro photographers. As others have noted during hand holding field work, it is challenging to use due to the narrow depth of field or focus compounded by the additional weight of your lens and flash choices. Regardless, I don't think I will take a tripod with me much if at all... Consequently, this results in less keepers (sharp focus where desired) but when everything lines up, the images are great (as long as the subject is in the center of the frame).A few other considerations you should keep in mind... I tested attaching my ring flash to it, and could not. Thus, I will purchase a set of step-up/down rings for stability (screw-in vs. snap-on) and flexibility. However, the snap-on adapter has been good in my limited use with a Canon 100mm macro lens. For now, I will continue to use traditional hot-shoe flashes with a diffuser. Concluding, I agree potential problems could arise due to misalignment or accidentally knocking the magnifier off but the step-up/down rings should help alleviate this.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, including the bonus lens cloth and pen, not to mention the shipping experience was satisfactory.

Works amazingly well.
I bought this as an inexpensive way to get into macro photography. I’ve used it with by the nifty fifty lens as well as the 75-300 kit lens from canon and it just works great. Definitely well worth the money. The image was taken with this setup and a Godox TT685 flash with a homemade diffuser.

Great lens addition!
Fits my Canon RF 24-105 lens. You end up with circular photos, but that’s easy enough to crop. Love the photos it captured. I tried the same shots with my regular lens to compare, but this lens addition was much better and the up-close shots look more 3D.

Why don't the lens caps fit?
So odd, when you put the lens together, the back lens cap does not fit. Who thought this through? Otherwise pics are sharp and I love it but we should not have to come up with a way to protect the back of the lens.
