GM Accessories 23183674 Crew Cab Underseat Storage Compartment in Black

This is the OEM storage bin. Fits as intended in my 2018 Silverado 2500 Crew Cab.Installation takes about 10 mins all said and done, which is pretty fast. No drilling, cutting, or otherwise tinkering. It just goes in real easy. Installing the dividing nets is optional.I am not going to take away any stars, because I inspected this accessory closely at the dealer installed in other vehicles so I knew exactly what I was getting into. Its not perfect, however, there are no perfect under seat storage bins available on the market. They all have one or more things they could have done better, and all of them are too expensive for what they are.So, yes, I feel that this bin is a bit undersized. They could have made it a little larger in all dimensions and it would totally still fit with no negative consequences. I feel that for what you get and the quality of what you get this should be more like $99, so yes, its too expensive. For the price that you do pay, this should come with a lockable lid. You would buy separately the key matched locks so that it uses the same key as the truck. The attachment is secure, however, there should be am easier way to remove it. It should have a felt, rubber, or carpet floor inside like the other interior storage compartments. And so on.

The install was easy enough, but the nuts on the seat anchors were a pain to work with. Once the straps are installed it is rock solid. Fits perfectly in my 2017 LTZ. Allows me to store all the essentials I needed to have with me, different sized tow hitches and lots of tie downs and rope. Net dividers are kind of a pain to install, but figured them out. I would recommend this for anyone with a crew cab.

This is an authentic GM part that is specifically made to fit in your truck. No drilling required. All you have to do is install the 2 included brackets to the storage compartment, then remove 2 existing nuts on 2 existing anchors on the back seat. Place the brackets on each bolt, then tighten the nut back on and you are done.Once thing I would note, be easy on the screws that you tighten within the storage compartment, they are easy to strip. but overall this thing is built to last the life of the vehicle, and should not need to ever be removed.I have this storage compartment installed right on top of a weathertech floor liner with no issues. When the seats are down you can't even tell it is there.

I like it a lot. It's better than the other products on the market right now, and it mainly due to the dimensions. While it doesn't have a completely flat bottom, you are still able to put larger flat objects in there because there is nothing sticking up, like the competitors. One of the reasons I bought this is because I also use my Z71 for hauling my family, and with family comes driving around during the holidays to other people's houses. I always found it to be a pain to transport food in dishes like a 9x13 dish. Well, this solves that problem. As shown in one of my pictures, you can see that I've placed that exact size dish in the storage tray and it fits perfectly. The other makers of under-seat storage either don't have a flat enough bottom (With things sticking up) or they are too small. This one works quite well.I would have given this 5 stars, except for 2 reasons.1. I feel like it still could be a bit bigger and still feel functional.2. The screws to keep it in require star screwdrivers or drill bits. I stripped one of them because who in their right mind owns those? I used a hex set that mostly fit, but because it's lathered in Loctite, it was hard to use by hand. I used my drill hex set and stripped the hell out of it. That's some messed up Loctite. I've never seen that much before. The other side went in well enough, but the stripped side is not 100% fastened. However, it's still fully functional and looks great.In my pictures I've attached, you can see it in all the forms you'd use and you get a better idea of scale, I think. The other photos I've seen don't really tell much of the story.

I like that it is genuine GM, I dislike the price, but would rather GM for my GM
