So I go to orchid shows and I get orchids a couple times a year. I bought these pots and wow, they are awesome. Orchids are air plants so they only need some orchid bark mix and sphagnum moss. I alternate with layering the two then plant the orchid and end the moss on top in this plastic pot. I then got out a decorative orchid pot (no holes) and put the planted plastic orchid pot in there. Watered orchid and left it in the water for 5 minutes then removed plastic pot from orchid pot and threw out water. I do that once a week depending on how the moss feels. You want it to be dry before watering again. I got roots growing through the little slits now and can check easily how the roots are doing. I’m really happy with my purchase. Very nice quality. They have holes on top I noticed so I might consider hanging them from a tree where it only gets morning sun. But I usually like the pretty clay pots for orchids for hanging. I’m extremely picky and very happy with my purchase

Love the quality of the orchid pots. especially the transparency so u can see how the roots of your orchids are doing. Easy to use fits well in the size pots.

Excited to repot my phalaenopsis orchids with new potting medium, in these plastic pots. They are not “clear” transparent plastic but rather frosty and difficult to see any root growth. They’re sturdy, so if this doesn't concern you they’re probably fine plus a good value. Hope they still promote aerial root growth and make my orchids happy, only time will tell 💐🌺🌼

These are great sizes and I love that they have drainage holes plus ventilation slits. I just repotted one of my girls yesterday whose pot was extremely small and she is so much happier. **Update** watch the second video to get an update on these pots.

But wait! There's more! I became the proud owner of an orchid after being in a nursery to pick up some orchid mix for a carnivorous plant. Upon reaching the checkout there was a sad little orchid marked at 50% off. My boyfriend, who'd been looking at orchids during the time that we were there told me that it was up to me, so I'd decided to go ahead and grab it. My orchid got a better chance at life with me learning and growing with it on its own needs and wants. The roots began to flourish and it seemed like the poor plant needed a larger pot. I searched everywhere in person to repot the plant then and there. Nothing. Going back to the nursery, they'd suggested a ceramic pot though I wouldn't be able to see it's roots. After telling the lovely cashier the story of my first orchid and how well it was doing, they told me that about ten orchids were getting ready to go. Saying that they were getting rid of a few more orchids. I have absolutely NO idea which ones I have, if they're all the same or if they're each a different orchid. What I DO know is that since repotting them all in these new pots they seem happier and healthier. Their roots went form being a grayish color to a healthy green color. I never thought I would purchase these pots because I would have preferred to actually SEE the roots, but when the amount of pots that I got, this was worth it. In about two years or so I'll think about putting two together at a time, but for now they all seem happy and have sprouted brand new roots. 10/10, I'd highly recommend.

Great for letting my plants breathe. The holes are not big enough to let the roots through so I won’t have to cut/break the pot when it is time to repot!
