Easter Knits: Eggs, Bunnies, and Chicks with a Fabulous Twist Hardcover – October 25, 2012

I am totally obsessed with making these knit Easter eggs. Fun and quick. I changed up the colors to a more modern pallet and dropped a few rows to make them more egg shaped. The ones in the book are more pointy. Since a friend turned me on to Arne and Carlos I have bought a ton of their patterns and am really enjoying them. I won't make the other items in this book but the eggs have really pushed me to knit more.

Loved the book

I love the rabbit and will have to make a bunch of them with their sweaters. The eggs are an extension of the Christmas balls book and some are just balls instead of egg shape. The pastel colors and designs are season appropriate and I am sure anyone could come up with some of their own designs to knit. I like the book but prefer the Christmas one which includes interesting photos of their collections and house photos which add a lot to the content.

Easter knits is full of patterns for Easter eggs, an egg cozy, chick and a quirky rabbit with outfits for the rabbits. The patterns are easy to follow. The eggs are stuffed which does make them slightly irregular, I found using Styrofoam egg forms made for nicer egg shapes. This book is a good investment for knitters who want something a little different than the ordinary.

This is a fine book to pair with 55 Christmas Balls to Knit. I bought these books for my wife Suzy, and we have since been blessed with wonderful Christmas balls that she finds quick and easy to do--a relief after years of knitting heirloom afghans and other time-consuming projects, but just as satisfying. The Easter Knits book will serve as foundation for her next short, satisfying projects. Long live Arnie and Carlos!

As always, a fantastic, well done book by Arne & Carlos. I think that you will enjoy this book, and even all of their books.

Lovely book with beautiful pictures. The directions are excellent. It is a pleasure to just sit and enjoy the content.

A good knowledge of working with dpns is necessary to appreciate this book as everything is knit in the round. Casting on 8 stitches on 4 needles for the Easter Bunny was very fiddly and needed a lot of patience but it was nice not to have to sew up the items. The patterns do consist of just what it says in the title. The instructions could have been clearer. It would have helped to have the numbers of stitches that should be on each row and illustrations of some of the techniques used would have been helpful. The book is charmingly presented and has some delightful patterns. I was pleased with how the bunny turned out but would not recommend this for a novice knitter.

I made the mistake of lending this book out and never got it back. I was delighted to find this pre-loved copy on Amazon. Arne & Carlos are wonderful.

Sweet book but agree with other reviews that this is definitely not for beginners as patters are mainly graphs with minimal instructions. My favourite are the eggs. The Easter Bunny is not the best rabbit pattern that I have seen but it is rather charming and I love his little jumper. Bought this for my granny instead of the usual egg!

The book is very colourful and has some lovely patterns. However, it is not for the novice. You will need to be competent knitting on double-pointed needles and knitting together various parts of a piece in order to make the basic bunny. Double-pointed needles are also used for the eggs and balls. There are no/limited instructions on knitting, this is not a manual for learning to use double-pointers.
