Works as designed. Adding a complimentary color tends to gray out the color you are mixing. This wheel does not show it, and may not be expected to show that.

I use this little chart for card making. It's nice to look at various color combinations to see what I can pull together for harmonious combinations. When painting, it shows me what colors to mix to achieve a secondary or tertiary color, and the gray scale. I can use the large (nice) windows showing the shade, tone and tints of a color to find DSP that will accent each other or a focal panel. Some people can do this by intuition/feel, but I can't. It's handy to have a tool while combing through all my DSP pads and solid colors to quickly see what will match and what I am missing to pull a piece together. Otherwise, I can spend too much time just combing through and auditioning paper. It rotates easily on the eyelet in the center. The card stock could be a bit heavier - if you lay this against something or not perfectly flat, it will crease or bend permanently. It has a glossy finish and I have wiped it off with a wet towel and had no damage to the wheel. You can find the same thing for free on line, but I can't take the monitor over to my papers... This little wheel is convenient to carry around, and to take to the store when shopping for certain projects.

This will help you know what colors will go together when sewing fabric together.

I like the wheel a lot, just have to fully finish my lesson to learn how to fully use it. But it gives me a good start on blending acrylic paints and figuring out values, hue and saturation (intensity). I like how the wheel moves around to give you the various shades by adding the various colors. It is 9" in circumference and the text is large enough to read without straining. I am sure I will be using this often.

Much as I'd like to say I remember the specifics of the color wheel, I only remember portions of it. When creating, this chart helps me remember opposites, etc. in a timely manner. I reference the wheel a lot. Any wheel, however, is equally acceptable, just something to quickly jog your mind.

Very easy to use and full of information when you explore all that it does. I recently attended a three day painting class. The instructor and fellow painters were very impressed with it. I ended up giving mine, which I have had for several years, to the instructor and reordered this new one to replace it when I got home. It is a high value product for the price. Highly recommend.

Previo a la compra del producto me capté de algunos comentarios acerca el tamaño de la rueda cromática, (círculo cromático en físico), el tamaño es tal como se específica aunque es cierto que es algo más grande de lo ideal. A pesar de esto, es un producto que cumple con su funcionamiento, muy práctico tanto para una aplicación interna o externa de tu negocio, inclusive para los estudios de carrera o actividades artística a fines de la materia. Cuenta con información básica de colorimetría cuál es ideal y útil para todos aquellos que inician en la materia, ya sea consultoría de imagen, relaciones públicas, diseño de modas, diseño de interiores, diseño gráfico, artes visuales, etc... OJO: La información está en inglés. El material es relativamente resistente, lo suficiente para poder traerlo de arriba para abajo, sin embargo, no está exento de dobleces, que se rompa o se moje; el material es similar a la rueda del juego de twister.

Me encanta. Justo lo que quería. La herramienta perfecta para mi. Es más grande de lo que pensaba. Tiene un diámetro de 23.5 cm. En un lado viene ilustrado la relación entre los colores. En el otro lado una guía para mezclar los colores. Las explicaciones están en inglés.
