My wife gets hot flashes. I have been reading articles and watching videos, trying to learn what will help. She gets them so bad that they seem constant. Maca root is one of the things I try to get her to eat which helps with the flashes. But it does not taste good, and does not mix in liguids well. Here is my solution. Mix it with other powders. You might not need this much phyto-estrogen power to cure your hot flashes, but FYI this packs a serious punch and almost completely eliminates them for my wife. Some of these things are added just to make a meal out of the powders. I get a lot of the below items from Bulk Supplements. The seeds, flax, milk and almond flour offset the taste of the extracts a lot. She doesn't say that this tastes fantastic, but she says it isn't bad either. Use at your own risk. 3 TBS almond flour (for taste, and for food) 3 TBS hemp seed (for taste and for food) 3 TBS Ground Flax (phytoestrogen, and for food) 1/3 tsp dandelion root extract powder (support liver health, liver responsible for part of hormone production, hard to mix and tastes bad) 1/3 tsp maca root powder (support hormone production and tastes bad) 1/3 tsp black cohosh powder (phytoestrogen, also hard to mix in water and tastes bad) Stir the above to mix. Add soy milk (phytoestrogen) or other healthy milk. Do not add sugar unless you are so weak that you are only able to eat something if it tastes pleasing. You might add stevia if you like the taste of it.

To me, Maca Root smells and taste a bit like boiled okra. I mix Maca and St Johns Wort together both by Bulk Supplements. I place the products in a weekly pill box (holds 21 individual small containers) on Sundays. Three time a day, I empty the dry contents into my mouth and chase it with water, tea, or coffee. I have also tried it in protein shakes but prefer to just get it over with fast since the St Johns Wort taste is unappealing. I have been taking both products for a more than a year and am used to doing it this way so the taste has become very tolerable. Since many reviewers comment on the benefits I will limit my discussion to what I have experienced personally. For me the mood improvement, outlook on life, positive energy levels, and reduced fatigue make the Maca St Johns Wort a great combo. Bulk Supplements package their products in a heavy foil pouch and is superior to any other company’s products that I have purchased in bulk. Bottom line, I have been pleased with the quality, delivery times and recommend Bulk Supplements.

I have been using maca powder for some time and have noticed some increase in energy and stamina, don't feef as run down. No problems with mixing and taste, I mix it with Gatorade powder. The seal and good company buy frpmthe bag makes it a little messy getting out the powder but that's the only draw back. Good and pure product.

That's how important it was for me. I just want to say... These supplements are pure and they work right away!! Maca is known to improve your mood, give you emery and improve your sexual desires and this product does just that. I alternate it with Rhodiola and Ashwaganda. I feel mental clarity and focused and have been having more sex!! Haha!! It's good stuff!! Do your research and buy this product. I'm very impressed with the quality. I bought this because I was feeling depressed for no reason. I'm a health nut who practices eating healthy and exercise as a matter of fact It my passion to help other achieve health and fitness but I found myself depressed with no zest for life. Not anymore, I'm back and I thank God!! This is a good pre workout supplement too!! Try it!! I use 1/2 tsp in water with 1/8 tsp L Tyrocine as soon as I get up and I have no need for coffee I'm awake and alert!! I alternate with Rhodiola 1/8 tsp!! Love BulkSupplements!! I have bought this product before in the 250g size, it seemed to be fine. When I started getting low, I order the 500g version. When I received it and opened it, It has a chemical smell to it and looks nothing like the first one I bought. I called the MFG, I told her I was concerned about the quality of there product. She would not even acknowledge my concern. She would only say, send it back for a refund or replacement. She looked up the lot # and said it should be a dark redish brown color, which this is not. Again, I told her that I am concerned about there quality since this is clearly not right. She would only reply with, send it in for a refund or replacement. I asked how can I be sure that I am getting pure product, she would only say, "I am sorry, send it back for a refund or replacement."
