Ok, beer is only one of the many items it can hold. I bought this to have something to hold my "drink" on my spin bike. Spinning is thirsty work!The unit was surprisingly well made. I was expecting something more flimsy but this thing proved me wrong. It's made of a very tough material and the clamp is a very sturdy aluminum. The size of it is also perfect as it holds those bigger tumblers that people love to "Cricut up".Assembly is super easy, just one screw that goes in from the inside out to the clamp. They even include a tiny screw driver. Now that's a nice touch. There is also a small rubber strip included that is to be used on smooth bars. That's a must for those smooth surfaces so that your drink doesn't just slide down.The hole on the bottom is also a nice touch. It certainly comes in handy if you're going to be using this on something that experiences some rougher riding. That being said, my application is on a stationary bike so not something needed. I also can't really attest to the sturdiness of rough riding. (well at least not on the spin bike ;)Clamping it on the bars is super easy. The knob is comfortable and large enough to give good leverage to really crank it down on more padded bars. With the rubber pad, this thing doesn't move. I've also added a very large cup full of liquid and it supports it fine. time will tell how this holds up, but I'm confident it will last.Overall, this is a well made cup holder. It's got a few nice feature like the drawstring and little pouches attached. Those are always handy. It's a great size for almost any application and seems to hold up well. It works real well for being on the side of a senior's walker. It stays upright so the drink in it doesn't spill at all.

I purchased two of these cup holders for my pontoon boat and they install in a couple of minutes. Can handle larger cups or mugs and they're very sturdy. My wife really likes them too!
