It is great for young beginner. It works well for finding coins planted around the yard by grandparents. Good introductory metal detector.

Bought as a gift, have not heard back yet as to it's performance.

Very easy to use for my kids (5 & 7 yo). Light and easy to carry, and big screen with simple button functionality. Takes batteries, which have lasted a long time. To make this product a 5 star, I would liked to have had a earphone jack as it can be quite noisy.

Works well, my son loved playing with it in the yard. It seems to be pretty well constructed so it can hold up to those rough little boys.
