Amazing Paper Airplanes: The Craft and Science of Flight

Review from the MIRAGE magazine
Just as the title promises, this is a book-all 170 pages- about paper airplanes. Specifically, it is a guide to making paper airplanes. Author (Lee) delivers lessons in the physics of flight (thrust, drag, lift) as well as what type of paper to choose- lighter for smaller, faster planes; heavier paper for jumbo jets. Then he offers detailed folding instructions for aircraft from the most basic glider fifth graders might launch when the teacher's back is turned to twin-engine airliners to the most advanced fighter jets. The one word review of this book would be : "Fun!"About the Author: Lee works in the aerospace industry and has tutorials on how to make paper airplanes at this website AmazingPaperAirplanes.com. (MIRAGE, Spring Issue 2017 from UNM Alumni Association)

I a using Mr. Lee's book as a workshop with High School Algebra 2 students. I have learned a lot about paper airplanes and the theory behind it. I am combining his book with grc.nansa.org website materials.

Great last week of school activities.
My 5th graders could follow the directions and fly most planes.

Got this as a gift for a seven year old along with an origami set (he's into origami and I thought this would be a cool variation). His mom said he loved it. They also said he needed help with some, as some.ofnthe desings can be complex.

Absolutely Brilliant Book
This was the most played-with present throughout the Christmas holidays!! My 11 year old son absolutely loves this book and the planes he made worked brilliantly. (He has used plain paper rather than the templates at the back of the book.) This book deserves a review because it took priority over all things electrical over Christmas!! I would also like to add that this book is definitely complex and challenging enough for adults too!

Good paper airplane book
Great product and arrived quickly before Christmas. It has a lot of instructions clearly for kids to follow, brief informations about the types of planes and cut papers to make the plane.Con: the only thing I can say is that it is not easy to cut out the papers st the very back and a little confusing trying to go to the very back and find the right cut out paper airplane to follow a specific paper airplane instructions.
