5 star antenna
about 60-65 miles from our main city, but no hills in south La so no issues with that. we had to mount outside, could not pick up in attic do to some type of metallic coating on the underside of our roof sheeting, so we mounted it on the facial about 10 feet high (from the ground). on first program attempt picked up 8 channels, adjusted the antenna one way then another a couple of times for best reception, after about 30 minutes of adjusting we picked up an amazing 43 channels from 3 different cities, and all come in exceptionally clear. so, yes you may have to give it a twist or 2, but once it's set, it's a done deal. Great reception, better than I expected from the distance(s) and from 10 feet from ground level. this is a great little antenna with some power too. i'm giving 5 stars, no big deal to set it up even with having to give it a turn or so, the results are well worth it, now saving over $100 per month and actually seeing real high def, for FREE!

Great HD Antenna for this Texas Customer
Started assembling 5 minutes after the UPS man delivered. Used a 10ft. PVC pipe to begin a mini-test and only 7 channels. So I put up on the side of the roof (about 20ft high and about 2 oak trees about 12 feet away) -- WOW -- 35 to 41 channels. I was impressed because some internet "free-channel-index" site said I would only receive 32 in this area. I must admit some of the channels are "junk channels", but I can't blame the antenna for that one. I did put in the signal amplifier in FRONT of the Splitter and it seemed to boost the power and number of channels. I have 5 TV's on my splitter and some only receive 10 channels, but I honestly can attribute it to the older cable I am using (that was installed at the time the house was built). I did have to turn the antenna about 20 degrees to get the most channels, but that was a 15 minute exercise. Overall, I am pretty happy with the reception. It rained somewhat hard this morning and the channels were coming in just fine. Oh yes, I tested with a 50ft and a 30ft cable from the roof and in both cases, it was just fine. Bye-Bye Cable for now ...will pay for itself in 1 month! Finally, if the signal is weak, you are likely to lose UHF channels before you lose VHF channels.

Nice antenna for the right situation!
Generally works very well. Does not have quite the range as advertised, but works well omnidirectionally. Easy to install and not obtrusive. I would very much recommend it to those who are in a suburban setting and are surrounded by TV transmission towers on multiple sides. A great alternative to a rotator.

Product doesn't work as it should It. I want a REFUND
The ad is not at all what it said it would do It is suppose to have a range of 100 plus miles. My 28$ antenna operates far better then this 90$ antenna

Great for most (but not all) channels
I had the antenna installed by a professional service, using high quality components to connect to my home (pre-wired for cable in 6 locations). The sets (two digital and 2 with converter boxes) had been using individual indoor antennas. We had trouble with one or two channels on some sets, but those channels came in well on others. After installing this antenna we are unable to bring in the one channel that was spotty... not found by scanning channels on all sets. The FCC website (https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps) shows them as having strong signals in my location. Both stations lie along a similar direction, yet we get another station that broadcasts from that direction.Overall, this seems to be a good product but the performance has been disappointing.

Works well
This worked well in an attic installation. Home is in a low spot in a very hilly area, but within 1 mile of one transmitter, and within 4 miles of many others. However, we also wanted to pull in one particular station from 20 miles in the other direction, and this antenna was able to do that, without any amplification needed. In fact, splitting it to run to two TVs, even with an amplifier, didn't work, because with amplification each leg could get the distant station, but the close stations were blown out by being over-amplified. Without an amp, the close stations were fine on the splitter, but the weaker station disappeared. Because of my inability to amplify just the weak station, I wound up installing TWO of these, one for each TV, and they work great. In short, with a 25 foot run on one and with a 100 foot run on another, this met my needs perfectly. Keep that in mind if you have a similar situation; I was almost wishing I lived 50 miles out of town and all the stations were the same distance away.

but for the money I thought it should have been better.
Not anywhere near the expected reception. Had it sitting on the floor beside my tv and received the same (or better) reception than when I mounted it in my attic. It is also directional, unlike advertised. I installed a pre-amp and it stabilized the picture, but didn't pull in anything past 35 miles reliably. Might be a decent antenna, but for the money I thought it should have been better.
