This is a nice little external drive I use with my laptop. I have had no problems with it. The cable is a bit short but there are no problems with it. If you have use of a portable DVD drive, get this one

Seen in win 10 but disk never loads any type of disk, tried on several machines. This one is complete junk. To late to get it to UPS to return it by tomorrow bit agin,

If you opted out of having an optical drive in your pc like most of us these days but still could use a way to rip old cds or maybe use older installation disk for old digital products that are unavailable for download, This product is the most inexpensive way to achieve that. The cables that come with it are short. The data cable is a usb micro type b that connects to the disk drive it self and the side that connects to the pc is a regular (Rectangular) type a usb 3.0, This cable is around 18 inches when stretched. The power usb cable is not 3.0 as this would be pointless. The power cable has a regular (Rectangular) type a connector on the side that connects to the pc and the other side is a round connector similar to one that would power any other non smart device like a regular cd player or something like that and is around 23 inches. This item is plug and play, no drivers or anything. A very simple device that comes with poorly worded fortune cookie style directions which only adds to the enjoyment of this product. The unit functions well. When operating the unit do not press on the top or the disk may not eject. When pressing the eject button, hold from the sides or the back. alternatively you could secure the unit with double sided sticky pads if you were inclined to do so. 4 stars for this product is like 5 stars. I mean its a $17 optical drive that works.

Gave up on me after only a few months of owning. The first star is for setup. Next to nothing needed to be done to use it. The second star is because it worked in the first place. Not well, but it did work. Don't waste your money on this. Spend the extra few dollars to get a more reputable brand.

Works fine for its purpose. Main reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is that the two USB are a plain to plug in and out and take too much "real estate space" on the laptop. I did not think too much of that when buying it but after using it for a while, it has become annoying. Recommend getting one of those multiple USB plugs if you get this.

Been using over a year, nice drive, have no issues yet.

Had to replace very old one, that disc would stick inside. Good Price

This DVD drive does not meet our needs. It does not work if you want to use it to watch American DVDs. It appears it is only compatible with DVDs in the language it was coded in which would be Chinese.
