Keeps my pups happy and me, too, by proxy.
I have a an American Staffordshire Terrier mix and a vizsla. My Staffy is jokingly assumed to be mixed with a crocodile because there is yet a treat she has not been able to crush and pass. That said, I have purchased this brand a few times and the dogs love these things. Firstly they last a while, they keep their teeth clean, the bone satisfies the dogs' instinct to chew. I am not sure if the bones are from organic or grass fed cattle. I am most likely way off in my assumption that in India cows are a respected animal and are treated relatively well. Furthermore, my dogs have not become sick from these and one should follow common sense when giving their child a semi raw product - if there is a funk coming off the bone, a rational person would be cautious to give that particular treat to the dog. Though the bones do smell pretty bad, it is not a smell of rot or spoilage.

Didn't Last But Well Recieved
I have a giant-breed dog who likes to chew and I thought, after reading other reviews, that this large chew would last her a good while. She certainly loved it. Even as big as she is, she had a hard time carrying it around, but it lasted no time. Within less than an hour she's disintegrated an entire head off one end of the femur and was sawing down on the rest of the bone.Which is fine, I guess. Happy as can be.. but I've had much smaller bones last longer. And bought a whole box of hooves and had ONE last well over a week (the smell was even worse than these bones, though). So, anyway. Yes, it's a hit.. but the duration is obviously going to depend on the size and determination of your dog (mine's a "soft mouth gripper" herding breed, btw.. not some wolf hound that likes to tear things to pieces for kicks and giggles..)As for basic facts on the product itself (for those not familiar w/ chew bones- I wasn't until recently): They're greasy-feeling to the touch (you always have to wash your hands after touching them/getting them out of the wrapper for the dog); they smell pretty bad (fantastic to the dog, though); they've been smoked or something so there are baked-on flecks that are going to flake off all over your floors like crispy bits.. the dog will eat most of them, but you'll be sweeping/vacuuming behind him/her for quite some time and once the bone is finally broken down to bits, there will be shards (most often) and small round tiny bits that can be stepped on or hazards for small children (just be aware if you have them) and your vacuum that will have to be picked up by hand before vacuuming. Best for an outside treat (unless you have roaming neighborhood dogs that will steal them like I do.. she has to keep them inside and I just have to clean them up.. and a lot of the reasoning behind getting these things is to keep them from chewing inappropriate things IN the house). So they have their pro's (they WORK, they attract the dog's chewing attention very well) and cons (a freaking smelly mess).. I find it worth it but will find a different product (probably go back to hooves).

Distracts my puppy for 48-72 hrs.
My puppy loves these. He is not one that can destroy bones as I have seen my brother's Frenchie and puggle do. I actually only threw bones out b/c of a mistake I made that might be obvious to others - don't have the brilliant idea to use these like a Kong toy and put food or wet treats in to occupy your dog. He loves that, but he couldn't get all the way into the center (nor can he with his Kong football from grandma, but it doesn't stick in the center as well). I discovered this when I realized his bone was attracting ants. Otherwise, these have been great. He's mesmerized by the bone when I first get it out of the bag, but even after the meaty part is off, it's a great treat to leave with him when he's crated for all that chewing energy.

"product of India"
from the company's website: "Most of our treats are made in South America and Asia. In particular, our Gourmet treats are made in China. Most people see China and say "Oh no, here we go" or "Not for my dog". When products from China came under scrutiny, Loving Pets became proactive. We immediately began product testing with our "Tested in the USA" program. We didn't decide to do this because we had to, but because we wanted to. Our dogs are like family to us and they enjoy Loving Pets' treats. We want to feel safe giving our treats to our own dogs as well to yours. Unlike most companies, we share the test result with our customers. There are three tests performed on our products: First, at the factory where they are created. Second, by the USDA and third by an independent lab in the United States. The final lab results are posted on our site for all to see."I will be contacting the company directly to find out if the bones are from American Buffalo/Bison, Water Buffalo, or European Bison.I did find out from the company that it is made from Water Buffalo...and, honestly the dogs loved them...but they did not last as long as the American Buffalo/Bison bones last

My pit/lab loves this and it lasts forever
My dog isn't an aggressive chewer, but he has anxiety and this helps him massively. The pack lasts him 6-8 months, and keeps him happy and entertained. It sucks cuz I have tile floors so the bang can be alarming and I'm afraid of broken tiles but he for the most part keeps it in his bed area.

Thin walled bones...dangerous!
A local discount store sells 2 inch long water buffalo bone segments with a rope through, and my dog loves them...they last, and they don't splinter.. I was hoping to get water buffalo bones in the 6 inch length with the same thickness (approximately 3/16" wall thickness), but when these came I noticed the wall thicknesses were thin....my collie would most likely demolish these into shards.....NOT good! I cannot recommend them.
