Q: Can you use these on deep cycle batteries? I have one off grid system with agm batteries and another with gel batteries.

I currently have one connected to Lifeline GPL-4 (2x 6v in series for 12v) and it's working just fine. The thing to consider is that there is a maximum amperage that the WiFi unit can handle passing through: 6 Amps (per the manual). The charger you're using may have a higher output than 6A which would risk damage or destruction to the Schumacher SA1345. I'm currently using mine with a non-Schumacher charger that has a maximum out of 6A and I don't have any issues, my batteries don't cycle low enough to need more than 6A to bring them back to full charge. If you're running off-grid where your batteries need more than 6A to fully charge before their next consumption cycle then this isn't the unit for you. One more note: the WiFi unit doesn't report it when connected only to a battery, it needs to have power input from the charger side to activate the WiFi connection.

NO, this will not work with alexa or the ifttt.
