Light and strong
Love this shovel even more after months of use. It’s light, but strong. First one I reach for now.

Hard to find gem!
I have my daily barn cleaning chores, and replaced my similar USA made shovel that just plain wore out. The USA version is very hard to find, and costs over twice as much. This one is sturdy, about the same size as my old one, great handle, and is lightweight.

Properly cared for this shovel should last a good long time and might help your back to do ...
IMHO this is the only shovel you should use for clearing snow. I've had an aluminum bladed snow shovel for years. I can't understand how anyone would use a plastic or steal shovel for serious snow, but I digress. The blade of this shovel is slightly smaller than a standard flat shovel. By flat I mean that it is not a spade-like shape meant for digging, not shoveling. Because the shovel's area is smaller and aluminum it makes a lighter load and is less prone to accumulate sticking snow. All of which means it's less likely that the operator will be injured during use. The first shovel of this kind that I owned lasted for a number of years. The front edge of the shovel can show wear quickly if it's used improperly i.e. stabbing at icy mounds etc. I always use a true steal coal shovel for the ice and hardened snow. Properly cared for this shovel should last a good long time and might help your back to do the same. I'd give it five stars, but I don't know how well the handle will stand up. It doesn't seem to be made of the same quality hardwood as the one I had before, but only time will tell.
