Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery

Great gift for a 7year old!

This was a must-have on Santa's list & Mrs. Claus paid above retail for the set. It was worth it. My 11 year old daughter can follow the easy directions independently & has had hours of enjoyment baking & decorating cakes. It is not a toy that loses a child's attention after a few times but one they will return to play with again & again. That's a hit on any Mother's list.

My daughter loves the gourmet cake bakery. She has already used it and likes it very much. It came before the time it was promissed. She is very happy with her choice and shares it with her cousin.

I bought this item for my daughter's 9th birthday. She loves the Ace of Cakes and Cake Challenge and was very interested in decoration and making the cakes. Out of five girls and two moms we could not make this work. The cakes are TINY and rubbery. The fondant directions are to add a small spoonful of water. If not enough keep adding more. We never got the fondant the right consistancy. All this created a lot of frustration for all the girls. Basically a useless waste of money and I can't believe that Duff let them put his name on it.

My stepdaughter liked it. It's not too messy, but we had a hard time with the fondont...we'll have to try again. I think it's one of those toys you will only do a few times because it takes a lot of time, and clean up. But, it's fast and easy for the child to make a little mini cake for themselves and have fun decorating it!
